I wish the plating of the duck dish would be a bit different. We couldn't enjoy the sauce much without ordering the sourdough bread. Also if spoons were provided without asking as the sauces go to waste and we cannot enjoy them with the fork so the amazing sauces are wasted.“

“We went for Dine Around 2026, but not our first visit to Darya. The menu is consistently excellent, with surprising and always delicious combinations of flavors. We went for the mantı which delicious. The star of this year's Dine Around menu though is the lamb adana, an incredible mix of textures and flavors. As always service was excellent, personable but not intrusive. Our group of 6 was very well taken care of throughout. Thanks to the staff for an excellent evening.“

“As a person who travels alone a lot, I want to share my experiences about the awesome staff and great food that Le Rouge has to offer. While the menu is small it has something for everyone. Excellent apps , the most delicious steaks, seafood and the best Chocolate Cake. As a returning customer on the first night the Seth waiter /bartender ( recognized me and commented that I was here for my annual show. A year later he remembers my wine choice recommends a the best choice of a steak and of course my dessert taking great care in making sure my allergy to shrimp was never a threat. On my second night, again he recommends the Le Rouge burger that arrives hot and delicious and he tells me that my first choice of nachos contains a fish sauce that might contains shrimp he probably served dozens of customers but still remembered my allergy. I greatly appreciate that the staff was friendly with small talk and checking up me Seth and his new buddy Charbel were awesome to watch as they mixed up a constant array of drinks. With a great atmosphere, delicious food and supreme staff I give Le Rouge a 12 out 10 . I ate at Le Rouge for 6 nights and every meal was awesome 🤩“

“We have been going here for lunch almost every Sunday for about a year. Everything is A1. Our server today was Jennifer who has taken care of our table many times. She was excellent as always“

“We had our small wedding group here for dinner post ceremony. It was the perfect space (the Rhino room) and fit all 27 of us. Booking was easy, the staff and food was fantastic and delicious. And they were so accommodating to our guests with allergies. Cannot recommend it enough!“

“This was my first time at The Cannery, Bedford Row in downtown Halifax. I was greeted by friendly staff and my first thought was of the cleanliness of the restaurant and the staff were sharply dressed. The ambiance was chic and it was decorated in classy high end furnishings. I choose a both, yet still had a great view of Halifax harbour. The Braised Short Rib Pappardelle was cooked flawlessly and the sauce was tasty delicious. I look forward to the steak on my next visit. Mixologist Abi is amazing and pours the best tasting cocktails the city has to offer. His drinks please both the eye and the taste buds as he has a few tricks up his sleeve. “Definitely the highlight of my Halifax trip! If there was only one thing to go back for, it would definitely be Harbourstone.

We started with the house kettle chips and bluefin tuna tartare. I'm telling you now- GET THE TUNA TARTARE. It's so good. The fried bit underneath the tuna tartare mix is a rice patty. It's not too filling and is an amazing appetizer. The chips are definitely worth the try too- and I would suggest scooping a bit of the tuna onto a chip. The crunch goes very well with the tartare.

For our main dishes, we got the Harbourstone nachos and the clam linguini aglio olio to share.
The nachos were really good- but there was a lot of cheese, and it was starting to feel a bit heavy after a few bites.
The clam linguini aglio olio was very fresh and delicious. I do recommend that.

What really was the highlight of our visit, was our server, Lal. I have never seen such exceptional service before. He served us with a friendly, genuine smile and was eager to explain the menu to us. I would even go so far to say that he's the golden standard for the service industry! He was even kind enough to tell us that he was leaving to go on his break, and that another waitstaff would attend to hs instead.

Thank you, Harbourstone, and especially to Lal and the cookstaff. The dinner was exceptionally good, and I hope I can revisit Halifax soon for another taste of the tuna tartare.
