“We had dinner last night. Everything was PERFECT. The flavours, the wine, the food was hot, service was quick. Our server Anastasiia was so sweet and provided fantastic service. There was not one negative thing I could say or anything I would change. Very likely the best service and best food I have EVER had.“

“Hands Down the Best Shawarma place in Halifax !!
I’ve been to City Shawarma many times, and every single visit has been consistently amazing. The food is always incredibly fresh, flavorful, and made with real love and pride. You can truly taste the tradition in every bite — from their perfectly seasoned shawarma to their crispy falafels, fluffy rice, and fresh, vibrant salads.
The restaurant is spotless, the service is always friendly, and you can tell the team truly cares about what they do. My friend Ahmad Qadoomi, recommended this place to me, and I have to say — what an amazing recommendation! He was absolutely right about how much pride these guys take in their food and how authentic their flavors are.
City Shawarma has easily become my go-to spot in Halifax for authentic Middle Eastern food. Highly recommend!“

“Six of us went to 902 for supper last night before the comedy show and we all loved our food! The Syrian Shawarma sandwich with garlic sauce was fantastic! Two types of delicious rice. The fries have a bit of spice on them. The lamb chops were also wonderful. We will definitely go back!“

“Had an amazing Mediterranean meal at Darya in Halifax. The mezze spreads were fresh and flavourful. The pita were incredible!! The grilled octopus , lamb and chicken schwarma were perfectly seasoned. I loved the couscous. The service was friendly and attentive. Thank you Emily and to the hostess who made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Beautiful space, great atmosphere, and truly memorable food. Highly recommend!“

The meal was exceptional but the customer service was out of this world.The way you handled our wine choice and meals were exceptional 😉 . “Wide menu with good value for the portions. Classic diner-style spot — casual and a bit outdated but cozy. We tried the lobster roll, fish and chips, and clam chowder. The fish and chips were the standout, great flavor and crispy fries. The chowder was rich and creamy but a bit cold, and the lobster roll was good but not amazing. Overall, a solid place for a casual meal, though not sure it’s the best representation of Halifax seafood.“

“10/10 every time I go. Service and food is wonderful and bailie is the best waitress, she is so funny and always has the best recommendations. Sheri is an awesome bartender and makes the best Caesar’s. The inside is decorated unlike anything I’ve ever seen and I would say this is easily my favourite place to go in the city.“
