“Best Turkish food in Nova Scotia!“

“Small cozy restaurant hidden at the corner of a small business zone. Friendly staff, normal prices, very tasty food. I would have given the place 5 stars, but the portion was too small. It was just normal salad, tasty rice with unusual pleasant aftertaste and a very tasty meat. It was only pity that it was too small in comparation to average portions here in Canada in other restaurants.“

I’ve been to City Shawarma many times, and every single visit has been consistently amazing. The food is always incredibly fresh, flavorful, and made with real love and pride. You can truly taste the tradition in every bite — from their perfectly seasoned shawarma to their crispy falafels, fluffy rice, and fresh, vibrant salads.

The restaurant is spotless, the service is always friendly, and you can tell the team truly cares about what they do. My friend Ahmad Qadoomi, recommended this place to me, and I have to say — what an amazing recommendation! He was absolutely right about how much pride these guys take in their food and how authentic their flavors are.

“Wide menu with good value for the portions. Classic diner-style spot — casual and a bit outdated but cozy. We tried the lobster roll, fish and chips, and clam chowder. The fish and chips were the standout, great flavor and crispy fries. The chowder was rich and creamy but a bit cold, and the lobster roll was good but not amazing. Overall, a solid place for a casual meal, though not sure it’s the best representation of Halifax seafood.“
