Place was filthy, bus boy was reaching over me while I ate to restock jams that I never asked for. The breakfast was so terrible I couldn't eat more than a few bites. I just quietly paid and left. First time there will never be back.

Always a great place for breakfast or lunch. Wonderful home style food and good service.

Great tasting breakfast. Had the omelette very well done. Nice and delicious.

2 stars is more than it deserves. And don't get me started on the spider webs in the washrooms.

Classic small town diner with super friendly staff, great food and good portion sizes and comfortable atmosphere.

I really don’t like giving poor reviews, but the experience here was abysmal. We showed up, were sat, and ordered within 5 minutes. All seemed well. We were brought another tables breakfast- twice. Then we were brought the wrong order. We were close to leaving when they finally brought out the right thing- 45 minutes later. The waiter was kind but seemed to be struggling and even needed the dishwasher to point out when we were ready to pay and leave. The food was okay. The potatoes aren’t as they’re shown on the menu, they’re hash browns and not home made potatoes.

Either way, hate to say it, but not worth the stop. I love a greasy spoon but this was too long of a wait for meh food.

Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. I just wish there were more options for those with dietary restrictions.

We arrived after finding this place on google looking for a good breakfast. We sat ourselves and had to wave at the gentleman waiter to get his attention. After asking twice, over the next 15 minutes, where our coffee was and being told it was still brewing, we got up and left. While we were waiting we watched another couple who arrived shortly after us get up and leave as they were not even acknowledged during their time there. Very poor, slow service. Do not recommend!!

Traditional restaurant (diner).
Ideal for a light or hearty breakfast.
The welcome is very warm, the coffee flows freely, the pancakes are very large and plump and the maple syrup is unlimited!
Ideal for tourists wanting to immerse themselves in North American culture - the restaurant is frequented by locals.

I came here with a group of 21 and the staff were very accommodating. Our waitress Tammy was exceptional. She is energetic, hard working, fun and has a great sense of humor. She and her sister Donna go above and beyond to make sure everyone's needs are met. If you want warm and friendly service and a big breakfast at a reasonable price Josie's is the place to go in Digby.
