The Wheelhouse Seafood & Pasta

went to the digby location for brunch / breakfast this morning it was so delicious and love the new space!

We had a very positive visit with the Wheelhouse on January 18. The food was amazing and the service was excellent! Looking forward to our next visit there.

A beautiful place for lunch or dinner. Great views of the water either with the tide going in or out. The food was delicious and plentiful without a long wait. You may not need reservations, but I would recommend calling ahead just in case. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

Parking: Lots of parking available when I was there.

We came here for lunch recently. I have a gluten allergy so was excited when the server offered me a gluten free menu. The GF menu even had a few items that were cheaper than they were on the regular menu (that never happens). I was very excited to see some items on the GF menu that I have a hard time finding while eating out. I was so excited to order the potato skins, the server came back and advised the ingredients are GF however they are cooked in a fryer that is shared with gluten items (therefore not GF due to cross contamination), there was a warning written on the GF menu referencing the fries were in a shared fryer but nothing else showed this disclaimer. So then I try to order the bacon wrapped scallops, I was advised they also are at the same risk of cross contamination, I ended up having just plain scallops pan fried in butter, they were a decent size however a little under cooked and would have been much better if they had done garlic with it as well. I left disappointed after all of the excitement over seeing the GF menu options initially and then ending up with plain scallops in butter. It's wonderful that they are trying to offer an alternative and I am thankful she did come back to get me to change my order so I didn't get sick however if you are going to offer a GF menu but then have items that are not actually viable GF options then it's not really a GF menu. The staff was friendly though and the service was fast. My husband did not have any complaints about his non-gluten free food.

A nice little Acadian seafood restaurant about ten minutes from Universite St Anne. The Haddock bites and Fried Clams dish was perfectly cooked. I could have sworn that it was prepped fresh to order. Very tasty. As good as that was,the coconut cream pie....was on another level. Best coconut cream pie that I have ever had. It is worth the drive to southren NS for this. Trust me. Induldge your taste buds. They will thank you for this.

Food was amazing! Calamari was perfect. Claims and fish bites were awesome. You will not go away hungry that's for sure. Reasonably priced too. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Great spot. We’d heard about the legendary reputation of this restaurant so we placed a pickup order here in late August for 10 people of entrees plus desserts. Order was ready as promised. Price reasonable. Every person in our group loved their meal. We will be back!

This place is great! We had the haddock & lobster, I already want to come back! It was delicious. Definitely a stop to make if you are visiting in our opinion.
