We came in here by accident, thinking it was another restaurant. It was a half hour past close, and they sat us. We decided to get take out after realizing, and were unsure because we'd never been, it's clearly a family restaurant and some of the reviews. We're very happy though, the food is delicious. Best ginger beef I've had in Halifax, up there with 9 + nine. Great portions and good prices. The atmosphere of the restaurant could be better, but it's clean, with beautiful plants. Please disregard all the negative reviews, they're almost all 2-5years old except one messed up uber order. It's worth a visit! Thanks for taking care of us ?

This is probably the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Chinese restaurant in Canada. I ordered 3 meals on Uber Eat, but the restaurant just give me 2 of them and they were reluctant to admit they missing one for me.

Found the Sichuan Chicken tasted stale and old. Chicken had tons of bones still in. Only flavour was hot spice, no sauce. Pepper husks were very chewy and made up about 30% of the dish. Rice was extra. Not impressed.

It is the most authentic Chinese style food I have tasted in Nova Scotia, especially in Halifax! That’s why I frequently have my lunch in this restaurant! I like the toasted fish, the hotpot of lamb, the rice noodle of beef, and the fried eggplant with pork! So tasty ???

The food here is amazing. The ambiance leaves much to be desired and there may be some language barriers with the service. With that being said, the selection and quality of the food more than makes up for it. Don't let your first impression walking in the door make you miss out on a wonderful meal.

Really upsetting to see all the bad reviews, however many of the bad reviews seem old and they have gotten much better. I had chicken balls, fried rice and beef and broccoli. The rice and broccoli were fantastic, and I'd like to try some other menu items. The staff was nice, it seems to be a family buisness which is probably why the service can sometimes be slow. There are still a few flaws (when we came in the restaurant was empty except for a child playing an ipad), and the chicken balls could have been more flavourful and were a bit hard on the outside. I had a great experience and I think it is a nice family doing their best with a small staff.

Really bad quality. Terrible dry overcooked fried rice. Really bad soggy chicken balls. The skewers were literally caked with grams of salty seasoning and they were absolutely tiny. Maybe the worst asian food I've ever had.

For dining in the restaurant, I've got nothing but good things to say. Great schewan, tasty Canadian Chinese too. Delivery from them has been a little hit and miss, but admittedly it's been awhile since I've ordered from them.

Ordered through Skip the dishes, restaurant screwed up my order(only sent half the order and didn't follow instructions on the half they sent) so was told by skip to call restaurant to fix it when I called the restaurant I had to explain like 50 times how they screwed up they said they would send out a new order. When I called back an hour(2 hours totally from my initial order) later to check on my order not only had they out sent out my order but the guy who answered the phone was very rude and told me that it was skip the dishes fault for telling them the wrong order(even though I checked and rechecked my order on skip) and that they hadn't actually even remade my order despite they previous person who answered the phone telling me they had and to not call the restaurant ever again.
