Very slow service. Food was at best tepid. Forgot my drink. Forgot the pepper. Maybe a sign of why they're closing this location. Bathrooms are smaller than an airplane's. Couldn't wait to leave.

So sad this place is closing. The service is excellent and the food has been consistently great over the years. I truly hope the new owners and restaurant takes on this team as they are all truly so kind and welcoming.

Fantastic burger! The smokehouse is the best burger in the city.

Place needs to work on its service though. Seems understaffed every time I go and you end up waiting longer than you should to get to a table or be seen by a server.

I would suggest adding a busser for busier nights. The host was bussing multiple tables and wasn’t able to seat us in 10 mins in a not full restaurant

2 Doors Down is one of (if not absolutely) my favourite restaurants in Halifax. Cocktails are always great. We really enjoy the food too ( especially the smash burgers and Korean fired chicken). We would highly recommend this restaurant.

The smokehouse and old school smash burgers were both SO good! Thoroughly enjoyed our burgers with the parm fries. Friendly staff that worked their butts off on a busy night with only 3 on staff. Very nice atmosphere as well. Would highly recommend!

The food was very tasty. The ambience was pleasant and noise level was great, you could carry on a conversation with ease. I would definitely dine here again.

There was a large party that took up all of the noise space but it was to see the restaurant so alive! Great food and service!!!

I enjoyed a wonderful experience! The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was excellent - attentive, polite, and friendly. The ambience is casual yet elegant with a comfortable vibe. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy great food in a cool, conveniently located downtown environment.

Great food and service. Pork belly dish was one of the best I’ve ever had and the deep fried macaroni log was an interesting take on pasta. Reservations are recommended, although we did not have one, they were able to take us in between reservation timings. Great ambiance.

It's a pleasure to have dinner in a restaurant where one can hear the conversation from the other side of the table without anybody having to shout. The food is always good, as is the service.

Good family spot for a meal. Food was good. Mostly great ambiance but we did see a couple of mice scurry around - I realize they are around but I don't want to see them... we stayed and ate because, food. A little mitigation might go a long way. Service was friendly enough, not overly eager though - tip suggestion at payment was generous, to say the least.

Had a delightful afternoon with friends and we all enjoyed our delicious Old School Smash Burger.
