My experience was fantastic. Our server was pretty nice to me and my family. One of the best food in Halifax. Must visit!
Their chicken is so tender and the cabbage no one can say no to it.
A cozy spot with a limited but well-curated menu. The food tastes great—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Prices are reasonable, making it a good value for the quality. Perfect for a simple, tasty meal without spending more money.
If you’re in the mood for a burnt dosa cooked in what tastes like reused, burnt oil, then Taste of India is the place for you. Unfortunately, this restaurant does a disservice to the rich and flavorful cuisine India is known for. It’s disappointing to see such poor quality associated with the name of our beloved country. I hope they take feedback seriously and make much-needed improvements.
Food is cheap and very good. A wonderful Indian couple full of happiness!!
I Had chicken biryani , chicken 65 and lemon rice in this restaurant it was really delicious and feels like home food. The quality here is above as I expected. It’s really worth to visit here.
I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience. I ordered 8 tawa rotis, only to discover that they were simply reheated store-bought rotis. To add insult to injury, I was charged an outrageous $1.5 per roti, resulting in a total bill of over $14 after taxes. When I called the restaurant to express my discontent, the owner responded in an appallingly rude and unprofessional manner, refusing to acknowledge the truth about their reheated packaged rotis. This was not only a waste of my money but also a thoroughly frustrating experience that ruined my afternoon.
Always delicious, so full of flavor.
#5 Butter Chicken with lemon rice and mixed veg. Absolutely delicious
Very small portion on the butter chicken. Flavor was decent but the portion was not worth it.
Cheap and delicious. What more could you want? People complain about the service but I think he's just a down to business guy. Still, he's pretty nice to me anyway. Mango lassi is awesome and my go to, butter chicken, is a good amount of spice. I can't comment on the authenticity because I'm not Indian but it's good for the cost.

I ordered idli and masala dosa from this place for the first time and I am very impressed with the taste. I hav tried many south Indian restaurants and this place is most affordable among them all and the taste is absolutely delicious. Will definitely order from here in future. A hidden gem ? for sure!

A Halifax staple that’s been here forever and hopefully never closes. Nice people, amazing food, good prices, good portions. If anyone deserves 5 stars it’s this place.
