Adda Indian Eatery Reviews
If you're craving authentic Indian flavors, The Adda Indian Eatery is a delightful spot that doesn’t disappoint. We tried their chole bhature and a cup of chai, and both were a hit.
The chole was rich, well-spiced, and perfectly balanced—not overly oily, which is often the case elsewhere. The bhature came out hot and fluffy, with just the right amount of crisp on the outside and softness inside. It’s the kind of comfort food that makes you feel right at home.

Adda Indian Eatery offers authentic Indian cuisine that appeals to a variety of tastes. Their Haleem is a must-try, and the Hyderabadi biryani stands out as a popular choice. The cozy atmosphere makes it a perfect place to relax with friends or enjoy a quick snack while engaging in a casual chat. The restaurant features a wide range of Indian dishes from Punjab to Kanyakumari, making it a notable spot in Downtown Halifax.
Recent reviews highlight the quality and flavor of the food. Customers praise the chole bhature, which is rich, well-spiced, and served hot and fluffy with just the right amount of crisp. The chai is brewed strong with aromatic spices, slightly sweet, and served piping hot, complementing the meal perfectly. Many find the ambiance cozy with a casual, homely vibe, and the staff friendly and attentive.
Dishes like the chaat chana samosa and mango lassi have also received praise for their delicious flavors and balanced spice levels. While some dishes like lamb biryani can be a bit dry or on the sweeter side, overall, the flavors are appreciated, and visitors plan to return to try more items. Vegetarian options are available and well-regarded, adding to the restaurant’s appeal.
