If you miss Filipino food, I highly recommend ALLANO’S
They offer a wide variety of authentic Filipino dishes that truly capture the flavors of the Philippines, making you feel like you’ve been transported there. Every dish is prepared with care, using fresh ingredients and delivering rich flavors that leave a lasting impression.
The service is also outstanding. The staff are always warm and welcoming, greeting you with bright smiles and kindly explaining the menu, so even first-time visitors can enjoy their meals comfortably.
The atmosphere is clean and cozy, making it a great place to visit with family, friends, or even a date. I would recommend ALLANO’S not only to those who love Filipino cuisine, but also to anyone looking to try something new and delicious. I will definitely be coming back again!

Fantastic food and great service. Looking forward to having them cater our family event
Nice, simple food. I got the Breaded/Fried Chicken which came with sticky rice, a couple of scoops of veggies, and the perfect amount of gravy. Chicken was good! Not too greasy, good amount of thickness on the fry; very enjoyable.
I'm keen to go back and try more traditional Filipino dishes.

As someone who’d ordered the BBQ pork skewer meal at least 20 times in the past two months, it’s fair to say this place is my favourite spot to eat in the city. I even paid $5 to get into the filipino festival last month because their location was closed as they were serving at the festival and I was desperate for my pork skewers (would have stayed to enjoy the festival but I was on my lunch break, it looked awesome!). I first went there about 3 years ago and the food has been consistently amazing. I believe it’s a family business and everyone is very kind and welcoming, 100% recommend! Their chicken sizzling plate is also amazing:)

I wanted to go to this place after checking all the rating and postive feedback but it's pretty difficult to get my family to like or try out food that's not their everyday fixation meal. But, let me tell you smthg, it did not disappoint. The flavours were really good and I'm glad I got to try filipino food for the first time, from allanos. MUST TRY BBQ PORK. (The owner was so nice and he let us alter some of the food choices we made)

Above-and-beyond service. So warm and friendly. I went with my 92 year-old grandmother and they were so sweet with her, even taking her hand and helping her. I only gave four stars for food because I was looking for something vegan. They did make me vegetarian spring rolls (not on the menu) that were a good size and delicious! And a great price. I would definitely go back for those. I also loved that their drinks were in aluminum cans and not plastic bottles.
There is a fair amount of seating inside and out. We sat outside on a nice deck with lots of umbrellas for sun protection, and a lovely breeze. I was happy to be able to have my dog with me on a hot day. They gave her a bowl of water and even offered to put ice in it! It’s also really easy to pull off the main road because it’s on a little side street, and there is parking.
I only wish there were more vegan and vegetarian options, and less plastic was used. Other than that, what a lovely experience! Such a welcoming family establishment. Thank you!
Vegetarian options: I ordered off menu. Delicious and big vegetable spring rolls at $2 each (as of summer 2024). I’m not sure if the outside part was vegan, but the filling was. Nothing vegan or vegetarian on the menu. I’d love to see a vegan noodle dish!
Parking: On a tiny side road. I sort of parked in front of the deck. It seemed like they own the house next door, so I think it’s ok to park there.

Allano's is Halifax's goto pinoy food source for everyone, pinoys or not. While there are other Filipino restaurants around HRM, Allano's seems to be the most popular and dearly preferred by many pinoys. We have been ordering from them since we moved here in NS 6 yrs ago but today was the very first time my wife and I dined in. Had a great time chatting with Jen as well while we were enjoying their grilled belly, sisig, crispy isaw and fried lumpia. I hope she enjoyed the spanish bread and pandesal, too. ??
