It's a beautiful place and the service and food were great. My only complaint concerns pricing. My friend was charged for a second coffee when she requested a refill, and my coconut margarita (tasty but not extraordinary) cost $28.25 including tax and an 18% tip. Speaking of tips, 18% (on top of tax) is too high to be listed as the minimum suggested tip. 15% (before tax) used to be the standard for good service and should be sufficient. My brunch (main course, 1/3 of a shared appetizer, one drink, tax and tip) came to over $60, which was shocking.

There are so many restaurants on the Halifax harbor that it is difficult to choose. Bar Sofia is a great choice, unique with its culinary bent and the staff helps make it feel welcoming despite the size. Appetizers were really delicious, unique and great with wonderful margaritas (exceptional selection of tequilas). Next courses were fine but not outstanding, but great service made up for it.

I got the corn to start as an appetizer it was great. Then I shared the burger and tacos. They were good. The place was pretty.

This is our place to do go for celebration dinners. It is a fun spot to go, with a great playlist and active vibe to it. Not only is the ambience great, so is the food and drinks! Highly recommend!

They didn’t serve nachos which is why I came there me and my friend ordered drinks and guacamole with chips while the food was okay I find for the price the portion size was very small

Server was super attentive, fun and did a great job on advising us on options given our preferences. It was clear he loved his role and confirmed as much. It was a bit loud at times but this is an upbeat and fun dining experience with delicious though at times a tad salty dishes.
We explicitly stated a severe allergy with one of our party - which the servers acknowledged and confirmed - but somehow this information was not well understood by the cook staff, and our friend unknowingly ingested an allergen. Very unfortunate.

Arrived at Open for BRUNCH. Professionally greeted and offered our choice a table on your patio ( we had a reservation for 4+ our pet) waiter was responsive, yet lacked menu item knowledge( did inform us that he was quite new to the menu) his knowledge of the beverage menu was extensive. Atmosphere was very much relaxing, several staff approached our table of four to check on us and our extremely well behaved dog ( Cali) was offered water and gave us a feeling that your establishment was very very pet . Cocktails were on point Food was very well plated , hot and also on point.

The food was Excellent but the drinks were really bad... the wine (we later saw was served out of a box) tasted off and the marguerites were so sweet, they were undrinkable ... just offer other options so you don't turn off repeat business?

My first time there. Pleasantly met upon arrival and seated. Margaritas were fantastic. The food was amazing. Fresh cilantro , greens, tomatoes etc. The flavours were bursting through on everything. Service was first class. Regan was our server and she was tremendous. Great personality. On departure we spoke briefly with the Chef , manager, and kitchen staff to let them know what a wonderful experience we had. It's a must try restaurant. Thank you all......❤️
