We had a great lunch for Dine Around and are still full hours and hours later. The flavours were wonderful and the staff were so good! They had a special soup for this month long event that I hope they make permanent! Dishes: Elote Riblets, Poblano pepper sopa, roasted pork sandwich, churros!
Kid-friendliness: We brought our toddler and the staff were wonderful with him. His curiosity, his food, all around felt great bringing him to Lunch.

What a delightful spot. It was my first time eating here with friends and we loved the atmosphere and the incredibly tasty food. Our server, Keith, was attentive and kind. I had the tomato salad with salmon and it was flavorful and satisfying. I tucked into the food before I thought to take a photo but it looked perfectly beautiful before I mangled it. I'll definitely hit this place up again.

Me and some friends went to Bar Sofia for the Dine Around Halifax promotion and it was absolutely amazing! The decor is very fun and vibrant, the workers were very kind and attentive, and the FOOD… Yum! The flavour of the dishes were unreal, a perfect balance of fresh, sweet, and spicy! The only thing I didn’t quite like was that the music was so loud I couldn’t hear the people sitting across from me, otherwise good experience.

Get one drink, wait 45 minutes for the next.
Was going to get food and a few drinks decided to leave after just being forgotten.
Happened twice, first time It was relatively busy and I was like OK, reasonable sometimes these things happen
Happened the next time I went, it wasn't busy. I don't know what was going on but I can tell you one thing, don't think I'll be going back.
Hope you all have a better experience than I've had previously

This spot is SO CUTE. Every detail is perfect. First time here and I’ll definitely be back. Hannah the host was the nicest person I’ve ever talked to, called to change our reservation multiple times and she was so accommodating and patient. Our server Kyla was amazing. Got the mushroom birria tacos they were 10/10. Spicy marg is good too. Love love love.

Had a disappointing experience here last night. First, the host was fantastic, helpful on the phone with a last minute reservation, and communicated effectively about when our table would be ready etc. Once the host sat us though, it was another 5-10 minutes before our server greeted us and brought water.
From that point on, service was lacking. Food and drinks didn’t take too long, but our water glasses sat empty until we finished our meals and had to request more. The server was attentive to other tables, even walking past us with a full water pitcher and checking in with them, but didn’t glance at us until our plates were empty and stacked.
It’s understandable that service is slower on a busy Friday night, but it was jarring to notice the server prioritizing other tables. The music was also quite loud for a sit-down restaurant.
The food is really good but the portions are small. Lots of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options, love the layout and decoration. Just disappointing that from past experiences and other reviews, it seems like some staff prioritize certain clientele over others. Hoping this is something that improves in the future!

This place is adorable, and the fact that they got us in new years eve for some cocktails with no reservation was super cool. The staff are also super friendly. The bartenders are FAST. Super good at what they do. It's one of those places that you can wear something super outrageous or like, sweat pants and fit in. Props to the whole place.

Wanted to eat at a spot close to the Evergreen festival. Made reservations in advance and they magically disappeared. Not sure what happened. Luckily they were able to seat us anyway. Service was odd. We arrived well before 6pm but the server failed to let us know that there was a happy hour drink special. I overheard it when she told the table next to us. After we had ordered our full priced margaritas.
I know that going out to drink / eat is expensive but that was a missed opportunity from the server. We likely would have gotten more than 1 drink, as the first one would have been more budget friendly.
It was Friday night, so it was busy. Service was slow for us. The table beside us (with the same server) had better / on time service so not sure what happened there? I wasn’t the only one who noticed this timing.
The food… mostly ok. The mushroom tacos were mostly jalapeños and small bits of mushroom… was far too spicy to enjoy.
The guacamole- decent. Still had massive chunks of jalapeño in it. The person putting the food together that night was definitely heavy handed with the jalapeños!
With so many new restaurants on the waterfront now, I would try elsewhere before I go back.
Which is a shame as when they first opened, service was good, food was great! It’s just kind of slipped down from there.

Busy, loud, server could honestly care less about anything, We sat at the bar and watched the chefs touch all the food with their bare hands without washing them once throughout the two hours we were there. No regards for any allergies or anything. just unhygienic. We got Margaritas, I think that was the best part of the meal. The food is ok.. guacamole was lacking
