I had never heard of this particular Canadian delicacy. But that said, it was amazing! We need these in America! Lots of different topping options, so anyone should be able to find one they'll enjoy. My only regret is that we didn't have time to come back. Come to America, Beavertails!

Visited this area on a cruise. The beavertail is an elephant ear meets donut. We had the traditional with cinnamon & sugar.

The tail was chewy, and crispy. It tasted alright. However, would have been better hot. Definitely worth a try though.

Oh my. So sweet. We ordered 2 and where going to share with our parents when we got back to the ship. Needless to say, there was nothing left for our parents when we got back to the ship. Fresh and hot

Food was amazing, just there was a ton of wasps in the place and were swarming around the food and you could see them in the prep food... I personally hate bugs, but god help the poor souls working there, good food, just bad experience.

It’s a dessert place targeted to tourists but you have to try it. Lots of options and they’ll even cut them in half of you ask. I can finally say I’ve had one.
Great location on the very touristy waterfront boardwalk. Reasonably friendly and busy, hard working staff. Our first visit to one of these and didn't know what to expect. Purchased a maple variety with one scoop of ice cream which promptly appeared about 2 minutes later. The "tail" was less doughy and more crispy / crunchy than we expected (a GOOD thing). Also super hot (quickly melted most of the ice cream) and incredibly messy to eat. You really have to eat with your hands and sadly they didn't have any hand sanitizer / cleaner. Also, they provided napkins in the box.... which they then put the "tail" and pastry on top of, so they were soaked and a mess. Luckily the public bathrooms are nearby for washing your hands and paper towels. We actually both enjoyed this more than we thought and found it very tasty, but not sure if it is worth the pricey $8USD we paid (perhaps the boardwalk location is more expensive). Overall a fun tourist treat.

Great place while walking the boardwalk in Halifax on a cruise while in port we we’re supposed to go to Bermuda but due to hurricane changed our destination but we thoroughly enjoyed Halifax what a great walking city loads of history that we never knew of very friendly people good food and drink.wish we would have tried more but the wind blew the last piece of my snack out of my hand, but warm fresh made dough great selections of toppings people working were friendly Thank you
Google search showed the opening hour as 11am. (Verified by business 6 days ago). Unfortunately it did not open so we were unable to enjoy any of the delicious beaver tails. We had somewhere else to be so we couldn't wait around past 1115am. Disappointed I am not eating a beavertail right now

So good. Sorta like and elephant ear ( but smaller. With different toppings. Husband got Brownie topping. And I got Apple Pie. The Apple pie was really good. Can't say how the brownie was. He didn't offer a taste and be ate the whole thing.
