I will echo the other review and say it is too expensive _for what is._This is not sushi. Even since last semester they have really cut the quality of the ingredients. This can be tasted in the first bite. The flaccid tempura is deep-fried in what is difficult to call "tempura" batter. The maki falls to pieces at the least suggestion. The "wasabi" can be put directly on one's tongue unadulterated and it doesn't have the slightest burn.Beyond the food and preparation, they add little reminders that they do not care. For example, despite the fact that every one of their take out trays have a separate spot for the traditional mixing of one's wasabi and soya sauce, they place the wasabi on the opposite corner *every single time,* where any mixing guarantees to infuse your maki with rice-busting sauce. The service is generally blasé, save for one bright spot—the bubbly server at the Killam location who in addition to being cute and funny, has learnt about seven languages and regularly uses them with her co-workers and customers. Intelligent! I hope they value her.The one other plus is the fact that they are the only place on campus without more abysmal reviews. So a plus, just for being open (when they're open).Wow. Reading back, this looks like a resentful flame—but I was just reporting my repeatedly observed experience. I think this place could actually make a nice lunch—if only they would _try to_.
