Best Western Plus Chocolate Lake Hotel

We are super satisfied with our stay at the Best Western Hotel. The front desk staff is wonderful, and we love the Restaurant staff. The food is amazing. Our room is clean, and we love the view, and the scenery we can see from our windows. It is truly breathtaking. We will surely book our stay at Best Western Hotel on our next trip to Nova Scotia.

Perfect location for a quick business trip. The rooms were clean, the staff very friendly, the breakfast was delicious and the bar is a great atmosphere. Loved the chairs down by the lake to end the day!

Extremely clean suite, friendly staff and great location.
Booked at hotel as my son was getting married nearby. Great location without having to go downtown Halifax. There was also ample free parking.

Classic Best Western! Zero complaints. Room with AC. Comfy beds with loads of pillows to choose from. Dog friendly (we brought our small poodle mix). Sitting right in front of a small lake called Chocolate lake.

The hotel comes with a decent gym, a larger than expected arcade room and swimming pool. Theres unlimited access to coffee and hot chocolate at the reception, and complimentary breakfast served early morning until 10am.

Zero complaint. I recommend this place if you are visiting Halifax.

Super clean comfortable room and bed. Dogs stayed at no charge, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We even got to take the dogs for a swim in the lake!

We had a relaxing two days with our cat and loved the view and the cleanliness of the place

Rooms: Spotlessly clean and well appointed with a great view.

Walkability: There's a subway and a convenience store next door. The mall is a ten minute walk away. Strolling on the pathways along the lake is lovely.

Food and drinks: The restaurant is mediocre but I'm not holding that against the hotel experience. It's a short drive or walk to other eating places. Free breakfast was typical hotel breakfast buffet fare but appreciated.

Noteworthy details: The staff were friendly and accommodating. Free hot beverages are available in the lobby which was a nice touch.

Enjoyed 3 nights with a nice view of the lake, room was clean and the beds were comfortable. All the staff at the front deck were very helpful and polite.
The breakfast was included and was great with lot of verity.
Did not use the pool or gym however looks decent
We did enjoy dinner twice there and a big shout out to Victoria and Ranee for great service...

Chocolate Lake is a great location. Only a few easy minutes from downtown Halifax but far enough from the fray. Peaceful. Lakeside breakfast is a real plus. Maintains Best Western standards, reasonable value.
