Best Western Plus Chocolate Lake Hotel

Not in the same area as other Hotels. It is in the middle of a residential area.

I gotta give this place a 5 the lake is beautifal the staff are all extremly kind and proffesional the arcade is a nice touch and close to everything ❤️

Amazing restaurant and delicious food. Would eat here again in a minute.

The room was musty when we entered. Some things that needed to be worked on by maintenance but was delt with very quickly and efficiently. The restaurant was really good and the view from there and the room was beautiful

This was our first stay at this hotel, and in the future will for sure be staying again here, hotel was very clean, I enjoyed my room and find that there are many nice amenities that are free of charge, which makes the stay more pleasant. As lover of nostalgia, I was impressed to see that this hotel has a very nice arcade, for me this was a first one, as vivid and frequent traveler, this is first time that I have seen arcade at the hotel, for me that was another beautiful touch to make stay pleasant. During stay there was a small glitch, but it was so well handled and fixed by manager on duty on our last day.

Great hotel. Kids loved the pool, video game room, free breakfast. We loved the closeness to Halifax, shopping center, and terrific view of the lake.

Great hotel in a beautiful setting. Only one restaurant we found on walking distance. Swim on the lake right from the hotel. It's like being at the cottage.

Stayed one night. Great hotel, close to downtown Halifax. The property is right on Chocolate Lake, where there were many people swimming and boating.

Omg.. Breakfast was great. They have a fully automatic pancake machine.

Good food at restaurant.

The hotel was alright. The service was terrible. We stayed for 4 nights and on the first day we noticed our shower drain was clogged and the tub would fill up with water quickly. We informed the front desk who said they'd have someone fix it in the morning. No one fixed it even after asking 4 separate times. we ended up having to clean the shower drain ourselves so we could take a shower before we left. DISGUSTING. After asking for a refund, they agreed to refund 50% of our last night, which is simply not enough for the terrible service. Since we were still on vacation we couldn't take the time to figure the refund out and they said they would handle it. We never got a refund.

Overlooks a beautiful little lake. Wonderful smelling products in the bathroom. Deck looking over the lake for cocktails or dining. Only downside was the frigid halls and one of two elevators out of order which made getting to the room lenghty due to 45 people and luggage needing to use it.

The hotel wasn't bad and the rooms were pretty much the same as most hotels. The only thing I didn't like was that check in was at 3:00 and I showed up at 4:00 and had to wait until 5;00 for my room needless to say we weren't happy. They did give me a 20% discount but it still didn't make up for the wait.
