Terrible experience!Invited my guest of 8 out for a birthday party dining experience in one of their globes ended up having the worst ever experience I ever had dining in a restaurant. I booked the place few weeks in advance to make sure the event went well. The server ended up treating us very poorly as she didn’t even refill our water for us when we requested for more water. She was very rude to my guests and made sure we didn’t have a pleasant night or service that night as she got us in a rush for everything. When we came to cut the cake and I had to go in the restaurant to ask for some plates and cutlery she only gave us one small plate and 2-3 forks for a group of 8!!!!!!Once all that was over she came with the bill and I gave her a very generous tip for her to calm down and treat us better but she came back in again gave us all an attitude that we should wrap things up and leave as they are closing soon…we left and left behind 2-3 gifts from the birthday the next day I go back asking for the gifts we left behind and the server told me that we did not leave anything behind when we are sure we left them behind. Since then I keep calling them and emailing and they keep handing me over to another person and denying to help me or let me talk to a manager.Very unprofessional & lousy from their team and the whole management system as they don’t have anyone watching over their servers or anyone to answer for a senecio like mine.

A quiet mid week lunch. The server was perfectly attentive and the food was fantastic. We both had the mixed green cranberry salad with chicken added. Might be the best salad I have had and the chicken was juicy and tasty.

We went here for my girlfriend’s birthday Saturday night; with a group of her friends. My girlfriend made a reservation for one of the winter domes, so that the birthday dinner could be more private and intimate.Upon arrival, we didn’t know exactly where to go, as there was no one to greet us at the entrance of the restaurant. Also, there was what seemed to be a wedding party happening inside of the restaurant, so it was a very confusing and awkward arrival.I decided to go inside to find a staff member while my gf and her friend waited by the entrance. Once I walked in, all of the guests looked at me as if I was crashing the wedding lol. I could not find anyone who looked like a staff member and the bar had so many people there that I couldn’t speak with a bartender to ask. Then, all of a sudden a young woman came out from the back with a tray of food. She seemed frazzled and was rushing out the door. She rushed passed me and didn’t say “excuse me” or anything. Then I saw her stop and ask my girlfriend if they were waiting for a dome. When she said yes, the waitress responded with “it’s the one over there, with the green door.” This waitress’s attitude was sharp and uninviting right from the start, but we wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt as it did seem like the wedding party was very busy. The Dome itself was beautiful on the inside. It was lit up nicely and we had a great view of the water behind us. It was very warm when we got inside, which we appreciated because it was pretty cold outside. But it eventually got to the point of being uncomfortably hot and we were starting to sweat. The young waitress who told us what Dome to go into, was also going to be waiting on us and came in to take our drink orders. When she came in I asked if there was a way to turn down the heat to make it more comfortable, and she walked over to the thermostat, hit it and said “you can adjust it here”, then continued asking what we wanted to drink. It was clear that her attitude was not going away anytime soon and it honestly made us feel as if we were an inconvenience to her night. Now, I understand that things can get overwhelming when places like this are busy, but at the end of the day, customer service is important. The service we got from this girl, named Briah (another waitress told us her name), was just awful. Her attitude all night was cold, rude and very obvious that she didn’t want to be there.Even when we were trying to figure out what we wanted to drink, she gave off the energy as if we were taking too long to decide, when in reality, she didn’t even give us much time to look before asking us what we wanted.Once we got to actually order drinks and food, we got to enjoy the atmosphere of the Dome which was lovely. My only complaint about the Dome is that even though we turned the heat down all the way, it was still too hot, so we had to keep the door open a bit just so we wouldn’t start sweating and could sit comfortably. Other than that, it was a lovely set up!The drinks were tasty and everyone seemed happy with what they got. I ordered the Royal Gin-ger Sour and the B&A Maple Old Fashioned; both were good. When the food came, it was brought to us by a different server who was very friendly and the complete opposite of the first waitress (Briah). The food was good for the most part. 3 people got the Nachos (1 with Chicken, 1 Veggies and 1 with Beef) and said they enjoyed them. Another friend just got fries and said they were good.I got the Korean BBQ Wings and the Crispy Fried Calamari. I’m a huge fan of Fried Calamari and these ones were not that great. They didn’t have much flavour, even with the cucumber lemon whipped feta. I wouldn’t order the Calamari from here again. The Korean BBQ Wings were very tasty and had a little bit of heat to them. They gave a good amount and I enjoyed those very much.I think some extra training would be good for the rude waitress, so that customers can feel welcomed when trying to enjoy a nice meal.I wont be going back there, just from the service alone.

I ordered a burger there; the side fries were good, but the beef smelled so bad that I couldn't finish it.The music was so loud that my friend and I couldn't talk at all, and I got a headache afterward cause It was annoying and when I asked the server to lower the volume, she said it's not possible because costumers can hear the kitchen noise. It would be better for them to use insulation walls to reduce the kitchen buzz instead of turning the music up. People pay to spend a relaxing time, not to get a headache. It's a restaurant, not a club!

I recently visited this establishment on January 20th for dinner for my friend's birthday. I was very disappointed with the overall dining experience. I had heard phenomenal reviews about this establishment before visiting the restaurant so I had high expectations for the food and quality of service.First and foremost, I found the service to be subpar. The waitstaff seemed disorganized and inattentive, leading to a prolonged wait time for service throughout the evening. Our server seemed to be frustrated and uninterested in serving us from the moment we arrived.Furthermore, the food quality did not meet our expectations. I had an order of nachos that were baked to the point that they were a solid mass with maybe 3 pieces of chicken scattered on the side. I ordered 2 glasses of wine that were supposed to be 8oz glasses, as that is what I paid for. I have ordered enough glasses of wine to know what constitutes an 8oz pour and both glasses I received were maybe 5 or 6oz. The first was served in a square rocks glass and the other was served in a very small stemmed glass. I was disappointed with the overall execution of the dishes and drinks. While I understand that quality comes at a cost, I felt that the prices charged were disproportionate to the quality of the food and service. I left the restaurant feeling that the value for money did not align with our dining experience. I am more than happy to pay for quality service, good food and experiences, however, paying almost $80 for a disappointing plate of nachos and two glasses of wine is unacceptable. The dome itself had a great atmosphere and if the service and food improves, this would be a fantastic restaurant to go to.

Not a place I would go back to. Food was mediocre at best and the atmosphere was horrible. Went in summer and was put at a picnic table shared with a couple of college girls. Spent the meal with my wife listening to dating advice as there was no privacy for anyone. Was looking forward to trying the domes out in the winter but with the past experience and sub par food, I won't return

I had a large group attend Birch & Anchor and it was a very good event. It was our first time at B&A and the food was decent (with some criticisms). A friend of mine recommended going for the B&A Nachos. Definitely very good. The service was adequate and the location was absolutely beautiful. The location was very clean. There were two things I didn't like about the location (that can easily be changed by management). The parking lot was not well lit. The second was the Creme Brulee. I have had Creme Brulee in the past and it is light flavour and well balanced. This was ultra sweet and over the top. I describe it as having those individually wrapped caramels and stuffing a pile in at once. It was too sweet. My peer mentioned that he noticed a sign advertising it as an 'Egg Nog' Creme Brulee. But, when my server mentioned the dessert menu (and not having one), she didn't mention it as an Egg Nog version... which could explain why it was overly sweet.I personally had very high expectations knowing the very positive reviews from many past clients who have come to B&A. I'm not being hyper critical. However, I hope this feedback will help the owners adjust so they can enhance their dining experiences for future clients.

We had one of the winter globes and what a wonderful night it was. There were a few glitches with orders in our large party, but the bar manager and chef were prompt to come to our table to apologize for any delays and we were well taken care of. Would highly recommend!
