Great product from an independent icecream producer. In Halifax for a vacation, it's been years since I've had a "Grapenut" flavoured icecream, it met and exceeded my expectations. And the price posted INCLUDES the tax, NICE!
The ice cream was good. My husband got one scoop of caramel and licorice and found the taste too mild...we liked that you could get a large and try 2 flavours. The service was friendly but there may be some work required on organizing...we were 2nd in line in the pickup window (already ordered and paid) and the man in front of us was eating his ice cream and was half way through and understandably getting a bit frustrated but he still didn't lose patience and finally knocked...
This ice cream stand is located right on the boardwalk along the waterfront in Halifax. A very scenic place to grab some ice cream and enjoy the views. Naturally, our first reaction was to go to that "other place" that is so well known and popular. (OK, I am talking about Cows.) But the line-ups there were HUGE. So we tried Black Bear. They had a good variety and the ice cream was tasty. On a hot day, it was great to get our treats quickly while so many people were left...
