Amazing experiences! The food is creative and delicious.
We had shrimp ceviche, seafood chowder, lobster ravioli and Roulade...and Roulade is a show stopper, creative and well constructed dessert.
The only throw back is the hanging artificial pothos. It does not fit with the quality of the space.

I visited The Black Sheep restaurant at its new location on Lower Water st. today and it did not disappoint. Having visited the Dresden location in the past, I will say it has even gotten better. Despite the trout benedict being sold out, I ordered the pastrami benedict, eggs were cooked perfectly and the in house smoke flavour on the pastrami was delicious. We also ordered the fish cakes with poached eggs and it was also really delicious and had excellent seasoning. Capri, our server gave great suggestions for other great eats & drinks in Halifax and was very friendly. Loved this spot!

We had a lovely brunch on the rooftop patio this morning. All of the staff was smiling and welcoming, the service was great and our meals were perfect. Great spot to start your day with a mimosa

We had a great visit to Black Sheep! The service was great, friendly and attentive, and the lobster ravioli was to die for. Perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and worth every bite. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fantastic meal!

I had the pleasure of enjoying brunch at Black Sheep’s rooftop patio last week, and it was truly delightful. The Eggs Benny were executed flawlessly with a perfect balance of flavors, the waffles were light yet indulgent, and the mimosas were simply outstanding. The ambiance on the rooftop added a relaxed yet vibrant charm to the experience. Exceptional food, excellent service, and a setting that makes you want to linger highly recommended, and I look forward to returning soon.

We went there by accident and enjoyed the food and service so much we went again. We stayed in halifax 4 nights and went there twice for dinner. The oysters are a must as well as the lobster ravioli and cod. Fantastic service. Manager was attentive and took time to take our photo and insured we had proper lighting. Highly recommended😋👍

Seafood chowder was delicious but service was a little slow. It would be fine if having a leisurely meal but not ideal if you only have a 1hr lunch break.

Great place!!! Food was great, loved the roof top patio. Young families beware, their bathrooms don’t have change tables, you have to exit the restaurant and go into the market to find one.

I tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday. Got the ramen and it was incredible! So fresh with amazing flavors. I got a spot on the rooftop patio which is lovely. Great atmosphere with amazing and friendly service. Will be going back to try other things as the menu has so many delicious options.

Nice rooftop patio. Waitress was kind but generally slow. We ordered breakfast. Food was the result of an ambitious but unskilled chef. It was lukewarm and an odd mix of textures and flavours. We will not be eating here again.

A great place to spend the day with family! There’s so much to see and do — it’s clean, beautiful, and best of all, free!

It really doesn’t get better than that.
