I visited while traveling and tried a whole lobster for the first time. It was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Such a memorable experience. I’ll never forget it!

Nice spot to stop in for authentic Halifax atmosphere. Luke was a wonderful server that provided a ton of knowledge on top of great service. Food was very good.

$25.99 for lobster roll and it was OK. I ate it all. The meal came with delicious fish chowder and fresh coleslaw. I ate it all up.

This place has a great vibe. You must try their lobster dinner. It’s located right in the heart of downtown.

Great service, and friendly staff!
Lobster dinner was delicious, and cooked almost to perfection.
Side salads could be a bit bigger for the price you pay, but overall a very good dinning experience.
* I destroyed the lobster...

We visited Bluenose at 1pm for lunch today. The food was fine, but the experience at the time of payment was disappointing and uncomfortable.

When the bill was brought to us, the server had already added an 18% tip on the machine without asking or informing us beforehand. There was no explanation, no request—just the amount entered right in front of us definitely NOT A MISTAKE , which felt more like a demand than a choice.

Tipping should always be voluntary (which we would tip him ) unless an automatic gratuity is clearly stated in advance (for example, for large groups), which was not the case here. This approach left a bad impression and took away from what could have been a pleasant visit.

I hope management addresses this, as it’s not a professional or respectful way to handle payments.

A decent, but rather jumped-up, diner.

My entire life I told peopl: all seafood tastes alike and there is nothing you can do to make fish flavorful.

Today, I was proven wrong.

To begin with, the chowder was extremely satisfying, so thick and hearty and hot and just perfectly flavorful.

The Lobster was fantastic, my first ever NB Lobster! Very rich and again flavorful, and dipping that bite into the butter just truly elevates it that much more!

Scallops, shrimp and fish were all equally as impressive.

All soft drinks were flat, the rice in the rice pudding was undercooked and I didnt like it much, but everything else was spot on.

Very friendly server too!

It was the little things that pegged this place as average to me. Staggered in on a freezing December afternoon shivering and was rapidly brought ice-water and server went away. Later I was able to order coffee.
Loong wait for average food.
Perhaps its more of a night place or breakfast. Certainly has a prime location.
