I had such high hopes for this place. Mac & cheese and brisket? Sign me up! I got a two meat plate with chicken and brisket, and I had tater tots and Mac and Cheese for my sides. The sides were delicious but I hate to say that both the chicken and brisket were so dry I had to drown them in sauce to get them down and I'm typically not a sauce person. My knife couldn't even cut through the chicken. I dont know if the time we ordered had something to do with the dry meat but I was pretty dissapointed. Also the fact there's a no cash policy there is almost an instant boycott for me. Staff were super friendly and awesome but overall, the food itself was a huge let down, especially for the price. I did have a bite of my hubby's ribs and they were way better than the meats I had but I can't say that's enough to convince me to go back. I would like to buy some of that mustard sauce though!

The absolute best, most amazing food. Went to an event that they catered with I think almost everything on their menu.
They definitely take pride in their food and everything is made from scratch. Which you can tell, as the flavour and quality is superb.

Hands down one of my favorite places to treat myself. Always consistent, phenomenal and hot regardless of if I go to the restaurant myself or order via a third party delivery service. Receiving that kind of service is rare this day and age guys, please keep it up! Thank you for making me feel as if my money is valuably spent on a treat for myself. Not once have you ever messed up an item or forgot an add on, and I guarantee you if you sell a full size Mac and cheese with additional adds on of pulled chicken or pulled pork you will make a killing. It is the best Mac! I also tried the mini corn dogs tonight which are also great. I made my own spicy mustard to dip them in (mustard, Dijon and Tobasco) and they were amazing! I recommend you guys offer a spicy mustard dip with them as well!

I have tried lots of Mac and cheese across the HRM, and the Mac and cheese here is in my top 3. It is flavourful and well made, never dry like some Mac and cheese is. The atmosphere is also wonderful, the staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Extremely disappointing experience. We were the only customers in the restaurant, so there was plenty of time to make sure our food was done right — but it was anything but.
The food was dry, cold, and completely lacking flavor. The mac & cheese was so bland it needed salt and pepper just to get through it, and most of the food tasted like it had been sitting around for days.
There was no atmosphere at all — no music, no energy — and the cashier stayed on his phone the entire time. Honestly, if the food had been good, none of that would’ve mattered. Great food can make up for a dull room and distracted staff. But when the meal itself is this bad, everything else just adds to the disappointment.
For over $70 for two people, we expected fresh, hot food and some pride in what was being served. Unfortunately, this place has gone downhill — not worth the money or the time. Won’t be back.

I thought I'd try this place out just where I was staying at the iwk with my wife. I was a little disappointed...The chicken was SUPER dry, the sides and desert were alright at best, But the main part of the meal I was most excited for fell flat...the fry sauce was really good though.
Was excited to try this place, as we were visiting from out of town. But we left pretty disappointed. Arrived at 7:10, restaurant notes open until 8:00. We were met with looks of disappointment and annoyance instead of a greeting. Asked if we were a problem, no one answered. We were told we could only sit at the table closest to the counter because the rest of the restaurant had been cleaned for the night already. Even though the table in the corner was clearly still dirty.
Brisket was dry and didn’t taste smoked, tasted like an overcooked Sunday roast, ribs were decent. Sausage was decent but just a smoked hot dog, cornbread was also dry. Weren’t acknowledged by the staff even once after ordering and they didn’t even bother to say thanks or ask how anything was. We were in and out in under 20 minutes. But if you’re not looking to serve customers in the last hour you’re open (we arrive 50 minutes before close) just close. Would not recommend

Food was really good. We loved the Dirty Rice, Mac and Cheese, corn bread, and smoked sausage! The specialty sauces where great and had a good variety for my whole group! Would have been 5 stars, but the chicken breast was really dry. However the food was delicious!!!!!! Totally recommend!!!! Staff where super nice!

The service was not very friendly. But the portions were very generous the ribs were undercooked and way too salty. But the pulled pork, brisket and sides were amazing. Prices are reasonable for the portion of food you are getting.

The folks who delivered and set up the food were very professional, they came and went in a jiffy. My step mom had asked about allergens and they were able to give her all the details.
The beans and the Brisket deserve special callouts as they were the two items everyone was raving about. My only regret is not getting the cornbread! Which I know would be delicious 😋
