Just finished an amazing lunch here and cant wait to come back. Mexican tacos, tacos Guatemala and pupusas were all next level. Left with some Inca Cola and dark ketchup from their pantry. Looking forward to trying brunch!

Ola, I came here with my wife and was pleasantly surprised at how authentic and delicious everything was. This is a must visit for anyone in Halifax. Service was quick and food was excellent. Great gluten free options and amazing aesthetic.This place offers a great introduction to guatemalan cuisine and I could not be more thankful.

This was a lovely spot to pop in for a quick bite on a cold afternoon! Had a nice warm cup of café de olla and the patacones “criollas” which came with the most flavourful sauces. I will definitely be returning!

Food was homey, loved the spiced hot chocolate, and just the general vibes of like a little home kitchen.
Would recommend giving them a try, it was outside my normal cafe/brunch vibe, but I'm glad I tried something different. Unrelated, as soon as I stepped outside, a ladybug promptly lew into my nose and I could hear it buzz and take its last feeble little bug breaths inside my brain before I hastily blew my nose, coughing and spluttering in front of this homeless guy staring at me. Anyways, that's not the reason for the 4 stars, service was just a little short, still enjoyed my time ✌️☮️

A wide variety of foods from Central and South America. Prepared with fresh ingredients. Excellent. We loved the tostones, sopes, Colombian empanada, and doblada. Chef (&owner?) was flying solo and the place got busy so the wait increased. Highly recommend and avoid high traffic times if you are tight on time.

Cutest cafe/restaurant in Halifax, very intimate feeling and the owner is an absolute sweetheart. Great selection of Latin American products, amazing food, cooked with care. The decor and vibe of this place is unmatched, it feels like you’re going over to your favorite aunties that you couldn’t wait to visit!

It makes me sad to see the comments of many people complaining about the same thing, the TERRIBLE TREATMENT received by the "clearly" Guatemalan lady, especially towards LATINOS (taking into account that the place is "supposedly" a Latin window for those who visit it). However, it makes me somewhat amused and helpless to see that some Canadians who have visited this place have a somewhat different opinion regarding the good treatment they received from this same lady. (I would not like to think that this person feels any racism towards her own Latin people, since she has no way to erase that heritage that is very marked on her face)I thought I was the only one, along with other friends, who had this terrible experience in that place, however, seeing so many bad opinions for situations very similar to the one we experienced, then I see that it is not my own experience, but that it has already been a collective damage! And yes, I also saw how well you treated Canadians, but your contempt was evident in the attention you gave to your own race.My advice, practice more empathy with everyone equally and I assure you that you will receive better results in that business.Greetings and blessings
