I have found the staff to be generally very lovely but the coffee unfortunately is just mediocre (even though I do normally like have fun beans) and I’ve tried it now on multiple occasions

I was in Halifax for a trip and stumbled into this place on a Sunday cause nothing else was open. My first experience there was great although a longer wait the coffee was good. And the tomato soup was Probalby the best tomato soup I’ve ever had. It was full of flavour and a little spicy super delicious. The next day I went back to get more and it did not taste like that at all unfortunately. And was completely different :( kinda a huge bummer to go from 100 to 0

Ample space to stay and work/study. Nice playlist. The counter staff was unwelcoming which was surprising. The barista was friendly. Menu seems varied I can’t comment as I only had a flat white. I had requested extra hot and it came lukewarm and not full. I’m not appreciating the mandatory minimum 15% tip option.

Interesting space that gives a love of minimalism with its food and atmosphere. Although ultimately feels like it lacks any sort of soul because of that reason. Put some life in your space! Give me a mural that works in the contexts. Otherwise your community based shop feels like the surrounding lifeless condos. Food was okay. Found the coffee to smell like wet dog which was an interesting aroma. The breakfast sandwich had sweet pickles which was an unwelcome surprise. And the tomato soup tasted like spicy peppers flakes in red water, which balanced out well with the grilled cheese surprisingly. The saving grace was a rosemary chocolate cookie that stole the show. Who knew rosemary and chocolate went so well together?!
I am a tourist from Europe and I found Cafe Byron by accident, but it was really a lucky find!
The coffee was very tasty and the avocado toast also fresh and delicious. The place is small but very cozy, and the people working there was very friendly.
I enjoyed to sit there and relax a bit. I can really recommend this cafe to other travelers!

The coffee was excellent — rich and smooth — and the food was fresh and tasty. The cozy vibe and super friendly staff made me feel right at home. A perfect little spot to relax and recharge while exploring the city.

The coffee is great tasting. No complaints. The price is good. We however went to catch up over coffee in the morning and ended up being surrounded by a large group of runners. Who were loud. Stood basically overtop of us on the patio. Laying on the ground stretching. So if you want to have coffee in some semblance of peace maybe avoid Byron in the morning on a Wednesday.
