I went specifically for Trini Doubles and I was not disappointed! Delicious!!! Also had the friend plantain, very good but I thought a bit pricey for the small portion. The platter was very good as well ( especially the homemade mini dill picles!) although something to spread the hummus on would've been nice. The mango juice 💯. The owner is lovely. I definitely will be back. 1st time for my GF having doubles, she couldn't believe how good they were.
Vegetarian options: Many options on the menu for vegetarians

Back for another visit with a friend. Lovely quiet spot that allows for relaxed dining and conversation. I had the Pain Perdu (French Toast)... the best French Toast I have ever had... very decadent with ice cream and whipped cream and maple syrup. I'll be back for more soon!
Elias is the owner and chef....and chef he is....
This place is a must visit.
Excuse the presentation of my plate... I started eating immediately.
All food is freshly prepared by Elias.
Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten-free options. All made in house

Owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. Helped us each decide what to order and I am very glad I went with his recommendation, it was perfect. Started us off with homemade banana bread that was delicious and served us hot rosewater after our meal to aide with digestion. Very attentive and fast service considering he is the chef, owner and caterer. I had the Jerk chicken waffles which were incredible and I have never had anything like it before. Both spicy and sweet with the mango sauce it pairs perfectly together. Very happy with all of the food, great service and cute atmosphere. It was also very reasonably priced at under $100 for 3 people. Will be returning to try many more dishes!

We ordered the one meat with 3sides, 2 meat with 3 sides and bbq chicken meal. The oxtail, jerk pork, and bbq chicken were delicious. We ordered different sides to try and shared as this was our first time there. It won’t be our last. The service was pleasant.

An excellent place and even better food. The owner really has a passion for food and the experience that comes with it. I went here with my friend for brunch and I got the jerk chicken waffles which were so savory and sweet. My friend got the roti dahl puri which was also amazing. Good food and good company in the North end of Halifax. Definitely would recommend to anybody looking for a warm and comfy experience.

Service, atmosphere, and food were naturally thought out with perfection. ??
I recommend this local, hidden gem and can not wait to try many more dinner options since this visit was focused on breakfast.
The seating is quaint and limited, so I recommend a reservation.
Keep in mind that such perfection takes time. If you are in search of fast food, go to a franchised drive thru...?

Caribbean Bliss is an “experience” as well as good food. The owner of the business is the chef, server, caterer - he does it all with grace and class. The food is excellent and worth the wait. The extra touches like the banana bread and rose water just made the outing that much more special, rather than “just a quick brunch.” Well worth it.

We started with the doubles and ended with oxtail! I’ve eaten great Jamaican food in Kingston and Mo Bay too but this food ticks all the boxes! It’s right up there with the best I’ve had! I’m coming back next week!

This is a review from a while ago, I have not been in a while but this is a great restaurant. It's a small place, the dining room is literally 2 small rooms of an old house, but it's nicely decorated and I like the cozy vibe. The food is good, I'd say a Canadian/Trinidadian/Caribbean fusion. I like the Jerk Chicken burger and the Jerk Pork. But what sets this place apart is the amazing service. Elias the owner would bring out free samples of things like homemade banana bread and mango punch (which is delicious and worth getting with your meal). He was also super friendly and welcoming, and makes sure to ask for dietary restrictions/needs to accommodate everyone. I encourage everyone to try this place. Don't go expecting food identical to that found in Jamaica, but the menu is good and the service is excellent.

Best hummus I’ve ever had (including from the Lebanon) and the owner is friendly and accommodating. Hidden gem of the North End.

Had heard about this spot for Caribbean food and finally made it for a lunch with my buddy. We ordered the plantains, Trini Doubles and Chicken and Potato (Aloo) Dhal Puri (Roti). It was delicious and reminded of the food my parents cooked growing up. Eli was so warm and hospitable.
Unexpected touches like the banana bread starter and Rosewater digestif were awesome.
