Hands down my favourite pad Thai in town for a while, but recently, things have gone downhill. The first problem is the inclusion of peanuts in my order when I’ve requested none, even after including an allergy note. I’ve alerted the staff and have only been offered an apology. This has occurred on four of my last five orders. Makes me concerned they’re also ignoring the gluten-free note.
Recently, they’ve been skimping on protein. For a while, I loved that you could double your protein for $2.50, but it’s gotten worse, with today’s order only including two extra prawns.
Between the concerns for safety and diminishing value, I’ve decided to no longer order here.
When I asked for takeout my unfinished meal, the waiter gave me a plastic box and let me fill it .

came here for a new year’s eve dinner. we ordered the pineapple shrimp with chili paste, masaman curry, hot and sour soup and thai iced tea. our experience there wasn’t the greatest, the food felt pretty basic. the food wasn’t hot and steamy when it came to us plus the soups were served after the main dishes which was pretty weird. the thai iced tea was really sweet and was served from a pre-made packet, it didn’t have any milk with it as well, so was pretty bummed out about it, especially considering the prices. they were understaffed considering it was new year’s eve and it was just one server running the whole floor and the staff couldn’t even recommend what to order, just said everything was popular 😐😐. talay thai is a nice option if you want good thai food

Excellent meal with friends. The food was amazing and generous proportions. I was super hungry so no take-home food for me, but both my companions had lunch for the next day. It was busy, but we had good service. I love restaurants with decor and atmosphere to make it more of an experience, that’s the only area I don’t give a 5-star rating.

The waiter she say that we must give her 15% tip and that’s the system even before she give us the bill she told us we have to give her 15%. I don’t know how it work.
My hidden gem, although not really hidden as they always have so many take out orders. I prefer to eat there because I love the ambiance, it’s quiet, comfortable, and inviting. I love the decor and the layout (you can see the chefs cooking). You can feel like you’re on a vacation abroad while in Dartmouth. Truly some of the best food in the city. I’ve been eating here for years and the quality and food as always been consistently 10/10!!! The pad-see-ew is my favourite meal, and I always crave it! There are so many delicious meals on the menu, and it always arrives at the table promptly, hot and with lovely service! Thank you so much for always providing delicious food, a peaceful ambiance and warm service. I always love my experiences at Chaa Baa Thai!

Four of us went for a birthday celebration. Checked reviews and were excited. However, the food was only mediocre, it did not taste as fresh as it should have been and the flavors tasted artificial and chemically rather than fresh and authentic. We were drinking Stella and after the first round, they told us that they still had some but it had not been in the fridge. One meal came out and then we waited for the remainder to come out after a while. Our server was pleasant. The decor is dated. It was very disappointing.

The food was yummy, the service was attentive. The place wasn't very full when we went, and there wasn't any background music so it felt too quiet.

The pad Thai was amazing, the amount of wonton was a little disappointing (4). But honestly, we found two hairs in our food and that wrecked our appetite. I wish cleanliness was a bigger priority. The food itself was great. For service, we were the only ones there and the service was still not great. Bit sad. Finally, the atmosphere. No music, really quiet. I don't think that's bad but it's not great either. Would I recommend? Sure, but watch what you eat.
