You've really let your place get run down. Weeds growing all along your bulidings walls. The entrance way filled with junk and wheel chair buttons hanging off wall. Your outdoor tables look like there 20 years old, all warped and scratched. Should really invest in your street presence.

The 26 $ charcuterie board came with 2 slices of a baguette 😂 my table all jus kinda looked at each other quizzically then burst out laughing. place didn't seem bad but sorry, the worst rip off I've experienced at a restaurant in recent memory deserves a 1 star review. Cider was good

We had a wonderful dinner at Chain Yard. Menu offers something for everybody, including vegie and gluten free. Ciders offer great choices plus beers, wine and cocktails. The gnocchi were super yummy, nice tomato based sauce and large pillowy gnocchi. The strawberry salad was good sized, nice dressing and strawberries. The burger is well made with tons of goodies on top. I recommend the fries with green goddess and cheese.

Love the chainyard, food is pretty good, cider is very good and the staff are always very nice. Fun bingo and trivia too!

Had the fried chicken burger and jerk burger both were ok. The cider selection is great burgers were a bit greasy but fries were excellent.

Celiac safe dining in North end Hali.

Tasty food, great selection of ciders, servers who know what they are doing, and a lovely clientele generally. We're grateful to Lisa who, in an act of kindness, secretly paid for our meal.

I miss the breakfast poutine! But I will survive. I love Chainyard for trivia and brunch, it’s a super simple menu and they’ve got a great rotating tap of their best tasting bubblies. I enjoy a nice cider so this place is my jam and there’s something for everyone.
It’s easy to get to if you don’t mind Halifax roads, it is accessible and they have a baby/kid-friendly environment (change table in bathroom). They have a calendar at the front with their upcoming events too.
I usually make a reservation for most places, but here, they usually have some bar space if the tables are taken. The only thing I can say is don’t care for is the seating! The chairs are metal and so are the stools — I don’t mind industrial decor and design, but I still want to feel comfy if I’m eating sunny side eggs and writing (or whatever else they offer on a good day). The benches are lined with some leather cushions if you’re sitting against the wall. I’ve only had bad food once, it was over fried chicken and waffles but it was a couple years ago and not worth complaining about in a big party. They do have a patio and other events throughout the week.

I had the chance to taste the various ciders. All were good but the Zu was my favourite. The BBQ chicken tacos were also the bomb!

First time trying cider! Definitely worth the experience!

Great cider, I recommend getting a flight to try out different types. There was a special burger with a scallop cake… it was good, but the scallop cake overpowered IMO. They were also super busy, so it took a long time to get our food. They voluntarily gave us some free beer as compensation and were apologetic. All in all good service (we weren’t in a rush).

Service and ambiance were great! Had the fried chicken with a side of fries, and did not like the chicken at all. Was soggy and did not taste like chicken. Will go back, but prob won't go for the food!

The food was awful. Had the southern fried chicken. It was odd texture, a bit soft, and weird flavour and was cold in parts like it had been reheated. Definitely no hot honey on there but a very sriracha meets Dave’s forward sauce. I’m a big one who is not picky and I don’t look like I’ve turned down many a meal. I could not eat half of this and my friend couldn’t finish hers either. The fries were also unevenly cooked and a bit soggy. Both of us sent back almost full plates and waitress did not even inquire if there was anything wrong with our meal.

Chairs are hard and uncomfortable. Some communal tables.

It’s a good place for gluten free options so I’ll give a big plus for that.
