Went there yesterday for my wife's birthday. Ordered the goat cheese dip for a starter, the prime rib and the miso glazed salmon for our mains. We got some sautéed mushrooms and garlic shrimp with our mains as well. The prime rib was borderline cold when it came to the table. Could be seasoned a bit better. The salmon was okay. The miso didn't shine through as much as we had hoped. The sautéed mushrooms were a little on the undercooked side as well. The garlic shrimp was amazing though. The manager, Jeremy, was great and so was Natasha. No complaints regarding the service, but felt a little lacking regarding the food.

Just a fantastic choice to celebrate my partner's birthday. Ambience was perfect for a Saturday night in downtown Halifax. Service and food were excellent. The staff signed a birthday card which included a free appie for his next visit. Highly recommend for high value and affordability.

We had a very good experience. Staff was friendly and very professional, we had a nice table with lots of space, not packed in like sardines( like some other places downtown). The service was excellent and the food was very good. Look forward to returning !!

We had 4 ppl in Our party, we all had steak and prime rib, 2 steaks were cold, baked potato cold, one friend did not enjoy food. We waited so long for refill drinks we cancelled. This is my husband and I 4 th time here , unsure when we will return. Our friends was their 2nd time and they will not return . Unfortunately we were disappointed this trip

The atmosphere was excellent, and the food was fantastic. However, the service was very slow; it took a total of 3 hours for us to receive our orders and our receipt. Despite this delay, it didn't discourage us from wanting to book another meal there. The food was fabulous, and none of my five guests had any complaints. Thank you for the great experience, but please work on improving the service from the waitstaff.

Pub dinning for Fine dinning prices. Would not go back. Would recommend the Cut or The Keg or Moxies over this restaurant. Left hungry and paid a big bill for not good food at all. Sorry for the bad review but this restaurant earns it for sure.
Second time here, service was impeccable. Our server was a true professional. Food was good, we enjoyed it. Sadly top three desserts were not available. Would recommend and go again.

Dined at chops for our anniversary about a month ago ,ordered escargot,it had lemon basil on it very bitter terrible tasting, unfortunately my wife ordered roast chicken and it had the same herb on it ,kind of ruined the meal ,contacted a manager and he apologized and send he would send out a $50gift card which never came ,felt like insult to injury ,we won't rush back
