One of our favourite discoveries wandering around Halifax. Jordan made some amazing cocktails - the Ctrl Alt Delete was a standout.
Jordan looked after my wife and I as we tried a couple of different flights, then accompanying beverages with our favourite choices. We’ll have shipped Pazzo amaro, Hell Isle Cask Reserve Rum
Gun Gin, Gin wild and their Aperitivo. Two most favourited were the Aperitivo and the Hell Isle. He was very helpful in helping us decide. Thank you!
The best gin ever
Home of great spirits....the distilled kind!
We entered the brewery at 5 on a Sunday, aside from 2 other people we were the only people there. We were soo fed up that we were standing up to leave, and ONLY THAN did the bartender take our order. We were sitting for another 10 minutes about to leave again, and only than did the bartender stare making the drinks. After we got the drinks the bartender had the GALL to tell us “you have to be out by 7” despite waiting close to an hour. (Can’t forget the mixing cups dropped like a drunk)
In conclusion, worst brewery that I have ever been to and why we even stayed is a complete mystery. I’m never going back and recommend anyone to 10 kilometre radius, waist of a vacation.
My partner and I love it here! The bartenders go above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable. On our most recent visit, they ran out of jagermeister. Instead of 86ing the cocktail, one of the staff members ran to the NSLC to purchase more (he was super quick!). In the interim, the old jager bottle was given to us at our table with a rose in it. Additionally, we asked for a cocktail that was no longer on the menu. Although it was milk-washed and that couldn't be replicated due to a recent cocktail menu change, the adorably-dressed female bartender made a very close iteration. In a city with cocktail bars abound, it is refreshing to see this level of detail and service. Keep up the amazing work, Compass!
Cute bar and distiller, the bartenders are quite knowledgeable about the drinks and they have a variety if different taste based ones. Aka ones that are sweet, savory, bitter. Their washroom makes you feel like you are in a ferry boat. The design of the interior is also quite cool.
Cozy venue in the north end serving tasty and unique cocktails.
This amazing little gem had alcohol and food. The atmosphere was quaint and our hostess was amazing - witty and fun! She truly made our night
Stopped by for a quick drink on a Saturday afternoon. Our bartender was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made these delicious cocktails for us! We had a nice chat while the bartender worked and explained all the spirits to us. Very welcoming atmosphere and our drinks were delicious. Shout out to Owen, our bartender, who was lovely and also celebrating his birthday that day. :)

Stopped in for a couple of pre-dinner drinks midweek. Katerina, the bartender, was very friendly and knowledgeable and happy to take the time to explain what was unique about the gins Compass produces. They have some pretty unique bottles to go, too; well worth a visit when in the North End.
We had such a great night here! The drinks were amazing, as was the bartender. She was extremely knowledgeable not only about their products, but about cocktails in general. A cute spot for a date night or for anyone looking to try something new. Love that they sell their to go bottles on spot
Love. You can see the care and creativity that Compass puts into their offerings and the bar space to enjoy it in. Come in and enjoy!
