Dining on a Sunday evening early December at The Wharf was a perfect way to end our stay in Halifax. Exceptional service, friendly atmosphere and great food.

Lovely atmosphere and waiter was friendly. I had the lobster roll and my friend had fish cakes. The lobster roll was mushy and had too much dill and wasn't pleasant to eat. My companions' fish cakes were very dry and overly fishy. The remainder of our party enjoyed their meal - scollops and chicken. Would not recommend the lobster roll or fish cakes to anyone.

Delicious ice cream, friendly workers, cute Cow merchandise. Our first time trying Cow!

Delicious Ice Cream, better than Ice Cream made in the U. S.

We had a very enjoyable meal but we wouldn't choose the swordfish next time as it was tough and chewy. A few more vegetarian options would be good too.

COWS is a true Canadian classic when it comes to ice cream! 🍦 Founded in PEI back in the 1980s, they’ve grown into a must-visit spot across Canada, and for good reason.

The ice cream is super creamy and rich, made with high-quality local milk, and the flavours are both fun and delicious — favourites like Gooey Mooey and PEI Blueberry never disappoint.

Beyond the ice cream, the shops are a blast to visit, filled with quirky COWS merchandise and punny t-shirts that make you smile.

Prices are a bit on the higher side and scoops could be bigger, but the quality, history, and overall experience make it well worth the stop.

Definitely one of the best ice creams in Canada!

Excellent overall restaurant on Halifax Harbour with an awesome view! The food was delicious and our server was polite and helpful. We will come back again to this gem on the Halifax Harbour!

It's a must for our family. We used to go there every trip to PEI. Was fun to go to one here. Ice cream is good. Fun cow stuff in there too.

When I visited Halifax a few months ago, one of the sweetest surprises was stumbling into COWS Ice Cream, and wow, it’s so much more than just a scoop shop. From the moment you walk in, the playful decor and quirky cow-themed merchandise set the tone for a fun, memorable experience.

The ice cream itself? Absolutely top-tier. I tried the bubble gum flavour (a nostalgic favourite from childhood) and the coffee one, both rich, creamy, and packed with flavour. Portion sizes were generous, and the staff were genuinely warm and helpful, offering great suggestions if you're indecisive.

The shop has a unique vibe, bright, whimsical, and unlike your typical ice cream store. Prices felt fair for the quality and experience. If you're in Halifax and craving something sweet, COWS is a must-visit.

Was good, but nothing to rave about. If you aren't a die hard seafood lover I wouldn't recommend.
