Denny's Restaurant Dartmouth

Great food, quick service

We stayed at the Sandman hotel in Dartmouth Nova Scotia and Denny's is right there. So I woke up early and quietly left my room to go have breakfast. It is bright and cheerful with friendly service. The breakfast sandwich was delicious.

First time trying out the restaurant. Had breakfast for dinner which was very good. The service was fantastic and our waitress, Grishika, was so friendly and accommodating. Would recommend

Thank you for the excellent service! All staff members were friendly, courteous, and highly responsive. Every employee I interacted with was impressive, but I especially want to highlight Simran for her outstanding professionalism and efficiency. Great job!

Prices are way too high for a very mediocre breakfast. A $5 breakfast for $20 and they charge $4 for coffee on top of that. Food was OK but certainly nothing special to warrant the pricing. There is no value here and I left feeling ripped off. I mentioned this to the server in a very polite manner and she was receptive to my complaint although it obviously is not under her control. Will not return nor will I suggest to anyone else.

Average Denny's establishment. Frozen prepared meals heated upon order. Breakfast is always a good choice when coming.

It was just ok. Initially eggs came still raw (whites were runny) and they remade them and came back essentially the same- being pregnant especially it wasn’t ideal. Bacon was just barely cooked and server was quite slow to bring items we needed that weren’t at the table (enough milk and cream for coffee etc..). It was Friday morning so we didn’t expect to encounter these issues.

This was the first time eating at this Denny’s we arrived at 8 pm on a Friday night. Our server Stephanie was the best part of our dining experience. The food was served from Luke warm to cold (butter wouldn’t melt on the vegetables) also the salt shaker top was not secured properly and fell off when my mom went to use it fortunately this happened before salt covered her meal. We were too hungry or we would have sent both meals back. The coating on the plate lickin’ chicken fried chicken was over cooked luckily the chicken was still moist but the country gravy was very thick and extremely lumpy. The portion size of the Mac & cheese as an extra side was not worth $3.00 cost. The taste was good even though it wasn’t hot. We had the lava cookie skillet for dessert and the cookie was over cooked so there was no “lava” of chocolate.

Very nice and welcoming service. The food was not to my liking. I had an omelette and it was very greasy. Was not good at all. The English muffins was packed with butter and hardly toasted.

Unfortunately I didn't feel comfortable complaining because my son was with us and we don't get out to eat much anymore, so I didn't want to ruin the experience for him, however; that was one of the absolute worst meals I have ever had. Brown, rotten lettuce, stale/burned bread, burned fried chicken, rotten tomatoes, 0 flavour at all. My husband's eggs were clearly scooped from a bin. My son's chicken strips hard as a rock, my chicken ranch sandwich had the rotten veg that I had to peel off. I regret choosing Denny's with all of the amazing choices surrounding Dartmouth Crossing. Highly recommend choosing anywhere else.

The food was horrible. My eggs smelled and tasted like gasoline and they did nothing. I couldn't even eat it. The servers were rude, it was the worst experience I have ever had. The place was packed and very loud. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
