Dharma Sushi Reviews
Good price and good tastes. I liked all dishes that I choosed. Staff are very kind and nice.
Best vegetarian Japanese food I've found so far. Amazing vegetable dumplings, udon soup and lots of vegetarian roll options. Very cute little restaurant that seems to be family owned and our server treated us really well. When she noticed we ordered all vegetarian food, she even went out of her way to ask if we were OK with eggs and fish broth. Prices are very fair and this will definitely be my go to sushi restaurant in halifax from now on!

Dharma Sushi is a cozy Japanese family-owned restaurant that offers a wide variety of fresh fish. The chef's selected nigiri sushi includes classic options like salmon, tuna, and eel. The nori wrapping for the maki has a deep umami scent, and the miso soup stands out with a unique flavor. Customers can enjoy good green tea and standard house sake. The deluxe sushi lunch and daily specials are highly recommended, with unagi being a highlight dish. Many reviews highlight the friendly service and the staff’s willingness to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences, such as vegan and vegetarian options, with careful attention to details like omitting green onions or mayo. The sushi is praised for being artful, fresh, and lively, and the tempura is light and crisp. Customers also appreciate the authentic flavors and the good quality of the food. The restaurant provides a friendly atmosphere at affordable prices, making it popular for both takeout and dining in. Although the ambiance could be improved by tidying up the counter area and adding simple decorations like small lamps or fresh flowers, customers feel it remains a long-standing and beloved sushi spot in Halifax.
