Great food and service :)
really cosy and lovely sushi place, affordable prices, yummy food friendly service staff
A very cute whole in the wall sushi place, very affordable. Great food, I loved the atmosphere and the staff were so kind. Came in for Togo order and definitely plan to go back to dine in
While on Argyle Street Friday, I wanted a quick bite and chose Dharma. It has been several years since I have eaten there.
Dharma is the first place I have ever eaten sushi about 26 years ago. Hideki owned it then. Pioneer in Halifax Sushi.
I like the basics when it comes to sushi and this delivered 100%. Cheap sushi plate was $14.95 with SOUP and SALAD. Rice was perfect.
I added some gyoza but almost too much food.
Everything was great and service was 10/10. So friendly and welcoming.
I have been trying sushi and ramen in different cities including Toronto, Saskatoon, Markham, Halifax, and Vancouver. Owners or chefs include Chinese, Korean, Philippians, and Japanese. As far as I can tell, this place is the most authentic among all places I’ve been to so far. Tremendous food, I could be wrong, I could be wrong, folks, but it definitely worth a try.
Great food, perfectly prepared with excellent variety and plentiful options for vegans. Very attentive and thoughtful service.
What an incredibly underrated treat in downtown Halifax! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious with fresh ingredients, and was surprisingly affordable!
A surprising stand out was the Miso soup. I had the regular, and my partner had without bonito flakes.
The veggie tempura was perfectly cooked, light, and crispy.
My chicken Katsu was absolutely juicy and tender, then delightfully crisp. My partner's tofu dish was very tasty as well.
I can't wait to go back and try more as it's clear everything was prepared with care and affection.
It doesn't look like much, in fact we've walked past this place hundreds of times and didn't notice it, but I'm sure glad we went in tonight!
Vegetarian options: A lot of vegetarian options, though I'm uncertain about vegan.
Parking: Unfortunately it's parking downtown! After 6pm it's free though, so hopefully you find something nearby.

Hands down THE best sushi in Halifax. Though the owners have changed hand a couple times since we’ve been going there, the menu remains the same and the quality of the food is stellar.
Best sushi pizza you can find anywhere, super duper sweet staff & owners. It feels like home going in there!!

This place deserves it 5 starts. Sushi is fresh and delicious and Maki is perfect. The rice is seasoned perfectly and isn’t mushy or clumpy like most other places in Halifax. The food here in three words is delicious, delicate, and fresh. Best sushi and maki in Halifax.

Here’s my go-to sushi restaurant in Halifax!
It’s the place to go if you want to enjoy authentic Japanese sushi at a reasonable price. It’s hard to find a restaurant that satisfies in every aspect: freshness of the fish, taste, price, the owner’s personality, and the cleanliness of the restaurant.
On top of that, the restaurant’s best feature is the salad dressing. The dressing is handmade by the owner, and the flavor is absolutely amazing!
Once I tasted it, I was hooked. Now, I even take the dressing to-go and keep it stocked at home.

This was great sushi and gyoza. Staff was so friendly. Food came out quickly. Thought the outdoor chairs and tables could be better for a longer more enjoyable stay on our lunch.

Yum!! Such a sweet “mom and pop” sushi restaurant. This restaurant really is a hidden gem in Halifax and definitely deserves more recognition for their high quality food? sushi is extremely well priced and tastes so authentic. I recommend coming here! You won’t be disappointed.
