Tried here this morning for breakfast at about 8:30. Luckily found street parking just around the block on Shirley St. Weekdays, this area is more of a challenge, due to construction as well as it just being a very busy area by the hospital.
Anyway, the place is quite big inside, with seating for at least 30. High ceilings, all natural lighting, cute decor touches.
All food seems to be pre-made, but at least it must be made this morning. Tried the egg croissant ($8), which was very fresh. Soft, fluffy scrambled egg, arugula, tomato, garlic aioli. For light eaters, it would be enough on its own. Tried the spanish latte, ie condensed milk with espresso, they say. Simple, but satisfying. Grabbed a chocolate hazelnut danish lastly, which was quite good, with flavorful Nutella (or alternative) inside. Very soft & fresh.
In my approximate 30 mins there, a handful of other customers came in. Low noise level overall, but imagine when at max busy times, it could get louder.
Friendly service, not chatty, but warm.
I'd come back.

Cute spot, pistachio croissant only looked cute but lacked any pistachio flavor. I’d skip it. The coffees are nice

A high ceiling cafe, with plenty of light and a busy atmosphere. Selection was small, but tasty.

Can get crowded but they have excellent coffee. We get the Peggy's Cove Blend for our fussy espresso machine that can't take oily beans. Nice dark roast taste.

The croissant itself was nice, but I had a lemon raspberry one. It was entirely overfilled, to the point it was dropping out and oozing everywhere. The dark roast coffee was brewed too weak.
Nice place but overall, the coffee and latte drinks need work. All watered down.

I would give this cafe 0 zero stars if I could. While the service, cleanliness, atmosphere and drink presentation were excellent, the matcha latte and flat white were terrible.

Rather serving the flat white in the appropriate sized takeout cup, it was served in a regular latte sized cup. As a result, the espresso was diluted because more milk was added than necessary.

As for the matcha latte, the oat milk was clearly overheated, so it ended up tasting like curdled milk...unfortunately, we left the area before realizing. I took two sips and threw it away.

We're frequent travelers to Halifax, and have always been impressed by the coffee scene. Sadly, we would not recommend this cafe to anyone.

Great people, amazing service. Can get a bit busy, so you may need to be quick to grab a chair, but it’s worth it.
