Honestly, the food was okay. The chicken was dry and tasteless, and the hollandaise sauce was fairly bland. The egg was pouched well, and the waffle was delicious. The milkshake was also good. The presentation was beautiful, and the service was top-notch.
I would definitely come back, but not for the chicken, or eggs Benny.

The Benedict and hash browns were good. The hot sauce offered on the side was a nice touch. Tried the meatloaf and fried rice which were ok.

Coffee is not good because it's from java blend which tends to sell old coffee or bad roasts at times. Might be better to try a much better local roaster like anchored coffee (figurehead filter roast).

Limited street parking. Nice seating. Friendly service.

This is a gem of a family run restaurant located on Dutch Village road. If you have Celiac disease or have a problem with gluten, around 90% of their menu is either GF or GFO .

To top this off both the food and the service are wonderful. Foods that you thought you could not safely eat are now available and they are extremely knowledgeable about safely providing GF food..
The diner is simple inside and that reflects the work put into the food and service, which would you rather fancy surroundings or safe food and great service?

The gluten free options are amazing in a city that does not seem to care about those of us who cannot eat gluten without getting sick. They have identified a market and cater to it in a great way. I will return many times as I am always confident that I can order from the menu without getting sick.

Also special thanks to the server who not only educated me on a product that is available GF and even wrote down the supplier who carries it. Above and beyond service

food was cold and way over priced for a breakfast meal. The menu was not accurate as they make changes and fail to tell their customers… Paid over 60$ for 2 ice cold breakfast meals and a coffee..

This experience is solely based on the Eggs Benedict.

I popped in here for a late brunch to satisfy my craving of Eggs Benny. I had read online somewhere that this may be one of THE places to get one, and to be honest, a little disappointed.

I liked the thicker consistency of the hollandaise, but the level of lemon was a little high in it. The eggs were perfect, the ham was nice and the English muffin toasted perfectly.

The big draw back here came with the hash-browns. They were just the frozen, bagged, triangle hash browns. These are boring and can be had anywhere. I’d much rather prefer a home fry, made in house from actual potatoes.

The coffee was nice, exactly what you expect from a diner!

Service was great, atmosphere is stellar. Love the NASA art collection.

Also, very snowy day so had some entertainment watching folks at the intersection trying to get up the hill.

I’ll be back, but it’ll be to try something else.

Parking: Parking is basically non existent. You can circle the block several times hoping to get a spot, and you won’t.

I got lucky today as there is currently a blizzard happening.

Wasn't super busy when we stopped in, but almost full. I ordered the Shepherd's Pie. Took about 25 minutes to get my meal and I was really disappointed. The meat was dry around the edges, extremely hot towards the middle. Reminded me of microwaved leftovers. The flavor was very bland.

Nobody came to check up on us after receiving our meal. Eventually when the person I was with finished eating our server came over and asked if I needed a takeout box, at which point I explained my disappointment. She asked if they could replace and I simply said that we had been there almost an hour, it took a long to get what we had, and we didn't have time. Then I was asked if I wanted dessert...

I was also given excuses/explanations as to why the meal and service was slow (generic stuff like busy/short staffed/etc).

I had only taken two bites. Told her that there was no need to explain or anything, and requested they just take the food back and that I wouldn't be paying for a meal I didn't eat.

The staff were good about that and apologetic, but it didn't fix the experience. Gotta cross the harbour, but I'll stick with Pleasant Street Diner.

My sister and I were on the cusp of closing but staff welcomed us warmly. We both had the club sandwich and homemade fries. The sandwich was fresh, huge in size and excellent. My sister took half home. The fries were super delicious. The decor feels happy, cheerful and inviting. The staff accomodating, friendly and knowledgeable. Didn't get the owner's name who gave a brief review of the buildings history. Thanks again. Will be back.

Dietary restrictions: Amazing gluten free options, especially the pancakes. They are great with ensuring gluten free products are done safely and mark the delivery boxes gluten free too for the extra assurance. I always feel safe ordering here!
