If I can give a zero star, I will. This is the most unprofessional establishment I’ve come across in all my days in Canada. Zero customer service. Called to place an order for the weekend after being moved around Monday through wednesday. Finally connected to someone on Thursday and they gave me a number to chat on WhatsApp for the order. Chatted at 12pm immediately after the call. No response. Called twice after that… once at 3pm and again at 6:40pm. Both persons I spoke to said they would get back to me on confirming the order immediately. No response. Guess what, day of my get together and Order not fulfilled. No apologies. Nothing. This is a horrible way to do business. I understand you have monopoly of the Halifax market but I hope it won’t be for long and when the time comes that you have competition, I hope you and your staff would take customer service seriously.

The reason I'm rating today is because someone could get sick because the egusi i ordered tonight was spoiled. I have had egusi 100's of times and I know when it is not right. I ordered off of Uber eats and by the time I got my food and sat down to eat the store was closed. Uber would not refund my meal and im really hoping the refund or replace it with fresh food or I think I am done with this restaurant. Im not sure show they didn't realize the food was sour and bad. Shame on them!

A few days ago, a friend and I were excited to discover and try this restaurant, the vibes I get online are super welcoming but in person I was shocked at how dismissive the woman on cash was, we immediately got the vibe we were not wanted there, we were treated like it was an annoyance that we had even walked in and was just flat out rude. The rice was hands down the worst joloff I have ever tried, I asked for extra spicy to which she made a face and the rice I received tasted like it was cooked in an old burned pot that wasn’t washed out and the only thing warm about the food was the chicken despite a 10 minute wait. Very beautiful place on the inside, it also was nice to hear the women singing in the back, but my biggest tip would be the person on the cash register should not be allowed to handle customers- she will be what drives your new customers away and is not welcoming at all she couldn’t even bare to fake a smile. I still proceeded on to buy and tip 15% hoping the food would make up for horrible customer service…..nope. I must’ve caught a very bad day to visit because that experience alone has made me never want to go back nor would I ever recommend.
