I had a wonderful meal at this restaurant this evening. My server, Sandy, was fantastic. She took care of every detail with a smile on her face. Food and service were top notch. This restaurant is very fortunate to have Sandy on staff.

We were most disappointed with our dinner last night. We have enjoyed greek food for many decades including traveling in Greece. On an up note the service was good. The food was a disaster. We shared two appies and a greek salad.
Everything came at once. The spanakopita was luke warm not quite thawed from frozen? The feta spread with honey and dill with olive oil and pita bread was a salty mess which we could not eat. The greek salad was made up of mostly lettuce which was past it's due date , three grape tomatoes a few pieces of red onion, two kalamata olives and a mere sprinkle of feta. No evo, dressing or oregano. We ate here after reviewing the four plus stars while on vacation here in Nova Scotia.

This Ela location is the best. The waitstaff is helpful and responsive. The food is fresh and tasty. They cater well to gluten free diets, with soft and warm gluten-free pita, among other things. The atmosphere is friendly, comfortable and special. Highly recommend.

Great experience overall. Service was a bit slow but the restaurant was quite busy. The sesame baked feta was delicious. Food was very tasty, fresh, and authentic. Their site states, “Greek Taverna’s philosophy embodies: buy local and use the very best ingredients, make everything in-house with no additives, provide comfortable and clean decor reminiscent of Greece and offer great service.” and this was reflective of my experience.

Recently came here during a trip to Halifax. Waitress Colleen was awesome and very friendly. Food was fresh and tasted very good. Establishement was very clean and well maintained. Highly recommended if you want a greek food experience.
