Had a great dinner on a busy Valentine’s Day. Food was excellent and service was top notch. Liam took great care of us! Fried 🐓 is a must

Eliot and Vine is our favorite reataurant for years!
Yesterday, it was my birthday and my spouse made a reservation to surprise me!
William, our host, was everything you want: professional, dedicated with a nice smile and sense of humour for us to feel like home!
He made a well balanced martini and choose the perfect red to goes with my beef short rib: THAT was ourstanding! Melting in your mouth beef with incredible sides and gravy made to the perfection!

If you dont know that place, please try their truffle oil and parmesant home made fries appetizers: the best in the Maritmes! You will also never be disapointed with their home made pasta and gnocchi.

And if you can, their dessert are top too.

Once again, thank you for the unforgettable experience we had and see you soon!

A lovely cozy and yet elegant restaurant. Beautiful artwork, good window views as well. Service was exemplary. Food was amazing. Served perfectly hot. Quiet music in the background did not overtake conversation. This is our third time eating here. We will be back soon!

Had dinner there last night for the first time with my sisters and it didn't disappoint. All of our meals were fantastic and our server was super friendly. Will be back for sure!

The Brussels sprouts appetizer was outstanding the service was great. The haddock, however was over done. I would expect better from a high end restaurant, such as yours...

I love this place. Informal. The staff are excellent. I can't say enough about the service. The food is good too.

We came for a group dinner of 16 people and despite being the only ones in the restaurant they clearly struggled. Many of us had our orders completely forgotten or the wrong dishes provided. The food was underwhelming for the price and while errors were fixed after being identified it was generally spotty service. It felt like we were an incovience at times. Examples were appetizers coming out after the mains, a pasta dish served with no sauce, pork belly that was primarily fat and many missed drink orders. Nothing awful but you would expect better for the price point. Unfortunately the group left disappointed and with so many great restaurants in Halifax I would not rush to go back.

My wife and I went to Eliot & Vine last night for a much needed date night without the kids, and it was our second visit. This place has quickly become one of our favourite restaurants in Halifax. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, the kind of place where you immediately feel relaxed. The seating is intimate without feeling crowded, and the service is consistently welcoming.

The food was fantastic again. Their appetisers are especially standout, fresh, flavourful, and clearly made with care. Every dish felt thoughtfully put together, and it reminded us why we came back in the first place.

Eliot & Vine has become a go to spot for us, and we are already looking forward to our next night out there. Highly recommend.

Racist. Horrible establishment. Lacking professionalism. My friends and I made a birthday dinner reservation for ten people here few years ago 2 hours before closing, a week in advance and they accepted our reservation. We were the only customers there. Only one server worked that night. My friend who booked the reservation got a call from the owner while we were in the middle of eating (not even done eating yet) basically saying that they don’t like to serve black people because we don’t tip and told us we better tip because they’re closing early & keeping the restaurant open for us. It’s not our fault that they were unprepared but the owner made us feel that way and was very rude and extremely racist. We left a good tip but I will never return and tell all my friends not to. If I could leave a 0 star review , I would.

Edit: this review is 100% for Eliot & Vine and this 1000% happened, so no, I will not be removing my review. I’ve attached a photo for clarification of which restaurant I’m referring to. Accountability and an apology would’ve went a longer way.

We were a half-hour early for our reservation, but they accommodated us regardless. The restaurant interior is as lovely and inviting as the staff. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the food and very willing to answer all of our questions. The service was timely and the food was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the Brussels sprouts (which I only tried thanks to our server who suggested it)! The atmosphere lent itself to comfort and great conversation. I will definitely be going again.

Excellent service and food. Pasta serving was super small . Could have Beth more than 3 spoonfuls for a dinner entree. Taste was fabulous and left me wanting more.
