We went for dinner and felt welcomed by the first greeting and coat check, comfortable seating and nice atmosphere. Apps, drinks, pasta, tea and the most amazing chocolate cake were all incredible! A bit pricey but the quality is on par with the price! Great service and never felt rushed. I'll be back!

Title: A Culinary Delight: Our Experience at The Fawn RestaurantOur evening at The Fawn Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was inviting, and the service provided by Andrea elevated our dining experience to new heights. We started our culinary journey with a delightful array of dishes. The hamburger was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, while the oysters were fresh and succulent, leaving us craving for more. The meatball sandwich was a comforting delight, packed with savory goodness, and the spaghetti was a true classic, perfectly al dente with a rich and flavorful. And let's not forget about the chocolate cake for dessert – a decadent finale to our meal that left our taste buds dancing with joy.But what truly stood out was Andrea's impeccable service. Not only did she guide us through the menu with expertise, but she also introduced us to some amazing wines that perfectly complemented our meal, enhancing the flavors and overall experience. In conclusion, our experience at The Fawn Restaurant was nothing short of amazing. From the delectable dishes to the impeccable service, it's a dining destination that we'll be returning to again and again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable culinary adventure.

I booked high tea this past Sunday as I attended an event at Fawn in early March and was so impressed by tea service they held for a large group of 50.The selection of both savoury and sweet, as well as the deviled eggs and scones - were ah - mazing. The tea selection lovely. The staff engaged in explaining everything in detail to myself, partner and mother in law. Everything made from scratch which is rare these days. It really couldn’t have been a better experience.I’ve attended high tea at the Boston Public Library and in London twice - this experience did not disappoint.Thank you for taking such good care of us !! We will be back !

I visited Fawn for high tea. The food was good. I was disappointed in the way the staff presented themselves for what should have been an upscale experience for the price. High tea is just as much about the atmosphere, as it is about the food. The amount of savory options was minimal compared to other high teas I’ve enjoyed. When we entered the restaurant, we were not greeted with a warm welcome, but instead with a condescending stare from the employee at the front.Overall, I feel like this was an amateur attempt for a restaurant to bring something new to an untapped market in Halifax.

Fawn is an absolute gem of a restaurant. The chill atmosphere is perfect for after work cocktails or full fledged dinner reso’s. The tuna crudo is life-changing!! Service was impeccable and the cocktails and wine list pair beautifully with their menu. 11/10

Fawn is a beautiful spot that serves one of the best things I have ever eaten - their tuna crudo. Everything we ate was delicious, and the service was spectacular. If you can get a reservation, you should definitely go! It’s a comfortable atmosphere, delicious food and drinks, and is run by some incredible women. Will definitely be back again!!!

Unfortunately was not as expected. Went as a group of 5 for high tea birthday. Portion sizes were very small per person. Each paying $50+ that amount to over $350. The high tea meals are served to be shared amongst the group, we each received 3 single desserts (macaroon, cake) 1 tea biscuit, a single cracker appitizer, 1/5th of a cucuber sandwich and 1 devil egg. Photo attached of meal divided amongst 5 people with the option of 1 tea bag for the entire stay. The high tea tasted good, but questionable if worth the value paid. The atmosphere was bright, clean and vibrant. If you are going for high tea just expect to leave hungry (this would have been helpful for us to know). This was my first high tea experience, and I've been told this isn't usually the normal serving portions. Unfortunately, as a group, we left very disatisfied, hungry with a disappointed birthday girl.

Hello! We had dinner at Fawn last night.I would absolutely come back. The atmosphere was elegant and unique. The food was incredible. The tuna was a delicacy and the best new treat I’ve had in ages. Possibly the very best thing was our server Bronwyn. Brownynn was intelligent, charismatic and just made the experience exactly what we needed. It really makes such a difference to be treated with such authenticity and kindness. A delightful experience. Thank you so much and so happy to have this gorgeous restaurant in our city.

absolutely outstanding, the food is always delicious (maybe the best in town), the service is always very pleasant and fast, and the price is very reasonable for the quality! I highly recommend trying the teas they serve as well as the tiramisu for dessert, and all of their pasta dishes are phenomenal.

I had high tea with a group of friends for a birthday. It was very disappointing for the price. I understand that high tea is supposed to be a very light afternoon event, but for the price this was ridiculous. For $50 person, it was 1 tea bag, 1/5 of a cucumber sandwich, half a devilled egg, some chicken salad on a very tiny cracker, two pieces of cake that were very small (like 3”x 1”), a macaroon, and a tea biscuit. You can expect to leave as hungry as you were when you came into the restaurant. The quality of the food and the ambiance is lovely, but quite frankly this was an absolute rip off.

Lovely atmosphere- bright, modern and chic and a nice variety of menu options. We started with the crab dip and Ritz crackers and French fries. Both were tasty, simple and as advertised. The fries didn’t come with anything so we requested ketchup and mayonnaise. The dip was definitely just an appetizer and not a large quantity. We had the Cheese spaetzle and the Rigatoni alla Vodka for the mains. Both were flavourful and served on their own without bread or any side. The spaetzle was a smaller portion. We finished our meal off with a unique twist on a lemon meringue pie that was more like a cake and the highlight of the meal and experience was the nice variety of loose leaf tea served on pretty teacup saucers. Service was good with regular refills of our still and sparkling water. Interestingly when we made the reservation, the options were bar, dining room or mezzanine (upstairs). We requested the mezzanine but were seated in the main dining room, perhaps because it was quiet and easier to have us in the same space as the other table of guests. Not a big issue and we didn’t push for our requested location, but a bit odd. We visited early on a Thursday evening and it was nice and quiet, but got busier as the evening went on - all guests were seated at the bar or in the main dining room while we were there. Other reviewers commented on the casual dress of the staff which did seem a bit out of place with the velvet seating, China and candles, but they are likely trying to convey the “come as you are” attitude with the hoodie and jeans attire. The service was fine and that is what mattered most. I love that it is a woman owned business and includes a number of unique touches. We will definitely return to see what a second experience is like.
