Haven't been here since the renovation. So, excited to see the restaurant. Great service, my lobster roll and friend's mussels were amazing;however, portion sizes were quite small for the price. The coleslaw for my meal was maybe one tablespoon, my family's meals were small. The oysters for the rockefeller were the smallest we ever seen. The tortella(sp?) was like an appy not a meal. 15 dollars for a beer? Anyhow, we tried it and probably won't be back.
Excellent experience at The Arms. Very courteous and our server was very attentive to our needs. The timing of drinks, appetizers and mains was well done. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We were on a time crunch that our server easily accomodated.
We had a reservation for four for 6:30 p.m., showed up 45 minutes early, and the host graciously seated us at a nice table within 5 to 10 minutes. Very much appreciated! Our server, Emma, was warm, efficient, and knowledgable about the food and drinks menus. We all enjoyed our meals, if nothing was strikingly memorable. Very solid fare and a welcoming vibe!
Location is great, especially on the balcony overlooking the public gardens. The service was outstanding - we would ask for Morgan again if we were to go back. The food was pretty good, but I was not super impressed with my main. I requested my eggs, medium, and they were undercooked and runny. I would still go back and give it another try.
We did the Arms Brunch for Father's Day. The food was delicious, with good portion sizes. The desserts were delectable. The free mimosas were a nice touch. Our server was excellent. Would definitely recommend The Arms!
Food and ambience were great. Service was slow, lacking. We had to find our server to get the cheque, and he then proceeded to serve water at other tables before dropping our cheque off. He also only had 4 small tables total. He was off the floor more than on it
Food was very good BUT Service was very slow. Took 20 minutes just to get our drinks. We had a 515 seating and didn't get our main course until 630. We had tickets to cirque de Soleil and missed the first half as traffic was horrific by the time we got out of the restaurant. Felt like we had to inhale our food. In retrospect should have paid for our drinks only and just left. Had to ask the server where our food was because we had to leave. Good food but definitely won't be back.
Four of us had dinner at The Arm, we had reservations for a later timing but were readily accommodated when we asked if we could dine sooner. Overall it was a ok experience, the service and atmosphere were good, the food was ok, we had the ravioli, fish & chips which were both good and two of us had the burgers which were ok...but way over cooked. Would I go back? Probably not at least not for the burger.
The host and server were friendly and helpful. The venue was great. However, two of us had fish and chips and we were not impressed. The fish was dry and the chips were coated in something like a light breading or batter. We started with a Caesar salad, which was really good but they charged $2 to split it into two plates! The banoffee dessert was massive and to be frank, disgusting. I had never had banoffee previously so I have nothing to compare it with, but I will never order it again anywhere. Another bone of contention was that the two people I dined with finished eating before me, and the server took their plates away before I was done. Extremely bad form. I recommend it for a drink, but choose food carefully.
One of my favourite places for years. Recently, they changed the menu and redecorated the room, getting rid of the pub atmosphere and going with bright windows and white tablecloths the room design was not cohesive. There were items from the pub left and the new bright look as well. It just didn't make sense.. Tablecloths and napkins weren't ironed. if you're going to have them look after them . The menu has been changed dropping my favourite shepherds pie. Everyone's food was OK but bland presentation feature. It was one of our party is gluten intolerant. There were very few choices. Mostly just salad. Waiter had no interest in solving this .probably won't be back.

Excellent food, service, ambiance, a little pricey but servings were a decent size and tasted great! We've already recommended the Arms to some friends and we'll be back.
Well it happened again at this restaurant.. we were not “ allowed” to sit where our reservation had requested as the manager Scottie had verbally promised it to another group earlier that day . Sorry to say I lost it .. the funny ( not) thing was that the other group never showed up! Needless to say after being treated badly TWICE in this establishment ... we will not be back . It's too bad as the food is actually very good but when one is disrespected so ... we'll go to a place that honors the reservation made weeks before ...
This has been my favorite hotel for 30 years for a reason and LOVE the arms pub - always a favorite Marie our waitress was lovely our food was delicious and we had the best time. Thank you and happy holidays to all the wonderful staff.
This was a wonderful brunch experience. The food was good and plentiful and with the complimentary beverage it ended up being very reasonable priced. One thing to note is they wouldn't let us add the tip using our gift card. I wish I had known this as we now have $15.00 on a gift card remaining that would have been much better used during our meal to add an extra drink. Aside from that though it was a wonderful experience and would highly recommend. The space is beautiful especially with the Christmas decor!
The Arms has a good reputation for Nachos -- some places have downsized their orders - and customers have gone elsewhere --- keep yours at its existing good level -- it attracts groups as a "starter". Fred
