I remember loving this dinner theater however it had been a few years since any of us attended. Honestly overall I would not recommend coming here. The food was flavorless with frozen vegetables - lots of salt and pepper needed. To top it off we didnt even really get to eat our soup together.. two of our chowders came out and we had to eat it before it got cold because it was like 8 minutes later before our other friend got her soup. We were also done our dessert long before we were offered coffee and even then it was a different server who walked by and saw we didn't have any. I think our server forgot completely. The show itself was just meh. Kind of had the feeling of a high school low budget play. The sound quality was so poor you missed half of the words and singing. Overall honestly I think your money could be better spent for what this is. Super disappointing as we were all looking forward to it.

This was a lovely night out. The entertainment was great but they really have to up their game on the food. Cold chowder, hard as rock buns, overcooked chicken and canned corn and instant mashed potatoes. I don’t think I will return due to the lack luster food.

A Holly Dolly Christmas was fun, the singing and song selection very nice. Learned a lot about Dolly Parton - much respect! It's a long evening, from dinner to getting the cheque is over 3.5 hours.Food pretty basic. The interior is cramped feeling BUT the tunes are fun and it's nice to clap and enjoy the show and time w friends.

Food looks good but no flavor unless you put lots of salt and pepper on it Staff tries to be funny but fails miserably Somebody needs to get them a better sound system so people can actually hear them The show is so so

I have been before and enjoyed myself. However Holly Dolly Christmas was not a good performance and the food was not great this time around. Nov 2023

Very disappointed in The Holly Dolly Christmas show. The food was mediocre and the acting was subpar, the singing wasn't great and the sound was terrible. There was no cohesiveness to the storyline. On a positive note, the drinks were good.

I am going to be brutally honest here. I have been to the Halifax Dinner Theatre many years ago and actually enjoyed the show. The cast were great and interacted with the audience a lot and the food was meh. Well, went will a group of friends and we all pretty much agreed that the food was awful. Our bill was $151 of which $30 was alcohol. I had what I thought was the smallest piece of flattened and tasteless chicken breast that was smothered in some sort of gravy. The vegetable were a mixture of frozen vegetables that were not cooked enough. I will admit the potatoes were good. My husband had the roast beef which was very salty and the same for his vegetables. We both had the butternut squash soup. Thank goodness it had some spices in ot otherwise tasteless. The cheesecake was very sweet and I would have liked to have my coffee with my dessert. That came after desert was over and it was cold. Now on to the show, they were too loud at times and at other times not, they were totally out of tune most of the time and could have interacted with the the audience more. I am sorry but for $151 ( plus the drinks before the show) I expected a least a tastier meal. Or sure where the chef went to culinary school. Worst meal ever thank goodness the company was good.

This theater has been going for years, and it never disappoints! Lots of laughs, great acting, good food. I had seafood chowder, roast beef with potatoes and veggies and cheese cake. I didn't like the veggies because they were from a frozen mix, fresh would have been better. The actors are amazing and really make for a fun night!

The staff was amazing, the show was ok! The food was terrible, not only was it cold but the portion size was very small my group was still hungry, only thing that saved us was the cheesecake! For the money you pay the food should be better as for flavor it wasn't too bad but who wants to eat cold soup and chowder? It's really gone downhill since the last time I was there.

Cute little dinner theatre where the actors are also the wait staff. The food was ok, nothing special. The line at the bar seemed a bit long. The seating at the tables when we were there were much too close. Overall a good night out and at $50 a good price for all.

We had a confirmed reservation. Showed up to find the doors locked. 30 minutes later we find out from the building manager that the show was cancelled and we were not notified. This was a birthday celebration for an out of town visitor extremely disappointed. No offer of a solution from the venue.
