Habaneros Modern Taco Bar

I didn't expect much going here. I saw some negative reviews and can very much understand them. They forgot my order of fries. When I asked about it they appologized and rushed them. Gave them to me with hot grease making its way thru the brown bag only for me to get home and there still raw.

I don't recommend this place and probably my first and only visit I will make there.

The haddock fish was permeated with oil and had such a pale color. The fries were dark colored and were imbued with oil as well. The coleslaw had too much vinegar and had a bitter taste to it. The food intoxicated my two friends and they ended up throwing up bcs of the extra oil, and I was also struck with visceral pain after eating.

However, I have been here before and tried other food on the menu in the Halifax Shopping Centre location and the food was good; so this review is only for the fish and chips.

Relating to service, the workers were friendly and helpful.

We love their food, and their jumbo dog is the best hotdog in town and their sweet potato fries the best ever! Fresh toppings, delicious sauces, and amazing hot sauces. Top notch service, both friendly and quick.

Guys I hope this boy gets a raise because of my review!!!! The indian boy with a turban working in the front counter today may 14 at 7:45pm. the store was about to close but he made this dinner one of the best meals of my life. This bowl is so delicious. The boy greeted me and was very polite and made my order the very right way. Please give him a raise. Thanks

Just got racially profiled by the girl working at around 2:40pm today (17th Feb). I went there to get some food and instead of just normally greeting me the girl asked, "You're hear to pickup for a delivery service?"She is even of the same race as me making it more ridiculous.

Sorry but this at one time was a 5 star now how ever , it’s just not goodI went there last night and for two and 60 bucks the food was not goodThe grill is right there for you to see and it was not clean at all. The floor was filthy and was like walking on velcro.And worse of all, I haven’t been to get off the toilet all morning. Sorry folks. I use to love this place ?

This place was pretty great, but now the employees never change their gloves between touching the register and the food. Had to remind them to wash their hands once after sweeping once too...?

Large bones in both my tacos :/

Be careful while eating chicken…..Small sharp pieces of bones in chicken…

My husband and I decided to order habaneros as we are both home sick. 35$ for a chimichanga and chips. The chicken inside looked like beef. It was all fat and nearly no meat. The shell was undercooked. I ordered pico de gallo on the side but it never came. Not impressed.

Refusing to make food the way the Customer wants it is a poor way to generate return business. I was a loyal customer of yours from the day the first Cheese Curds opened. .loyalty is a two way street.

Didn’t order anything the starbucks right behind which i ordered at was super busy. but quiet here no problem with staff they were all very nice. not even a single question why i was sitting in.

The staff is great and the burritos are also delicious, I just love them. However, I think that the regular burrito is overpriced because it’s not very filling, it’s around 9 dollars. The large burrito is much more filling and is only around 10 dollars which is a reasonable price for the quantity, so I feel like the price of the regular one should just be lowered slightly. Other than that, everything’s great and I love how hot the food actually is because most restaurants in Halifax serve food with toned down spice level.

Vegetarian options: There’s a vegetarian option for most if not all the menu items they serve which is diverse enough.

Kid-friendliness: They serve kid-friendly food and the atmosphere is colourful and safe for kids

Parking: There’s parking space with around a dozen parking spots next to the restaurant and it’s not usually too full during noon.

Wheelchair accessibility: It’s easy to get into the restaurant on a wheelchair
