Unbelievable food and at an affordable price. At our table we had the beef tenderloin, the nachos, the lobster roll and the seafood chowder. All were outstanding. Service was great although they seemed to be running with very few staff. Guy playing guitar and singing was a really nice touch.
My partner and I went to try their burger for Burger Bash. The other ones I wanted to go to were closed. It was a huge burger that I'm lucky was split in half. The homemade kettle chips were pretty good and the toragashi mayo was great. The burger is the Hali Menchi Katsu. It had tonkotsu sauce, tomatoes and purple cabbage. The bun has seaweed in it and smelled fishy but didn't taste too strong. I had their triple berry bulwark .4% cider and I was shocked that it was actually pretty good. I'm not much for alcoholic cider, so this might be something I would buy again.
Burger bash rating. Very different, everything came through to make a good combination of flavour. The deep fried patty made for a slightly strange but pleasant mouth feel. 4.25/5
This is my second time eating here. Both times the wait for food seemed excessive for a restaurant that didn't seem overly busy; however, it is attached to a hotel and there could have been room service orders that I am not aware of. The food was good. And here comes the disappointing part of my review and the reason for the low stars. I ordered lobster risotto. The first bite contained a very large (3") piece of lobster cartilage that narrowly missed getting lodged in my throat. When the server came around to check in, I advised him. He offered to have my dish recooked but that wasn't necessary as the damage was done. He took the cartilage and left. He never said another word. Assuming my meal would be comped, I didn't say anything either. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I paid full price for my meal and no one said anything. No apologies either. Quite disappointing.
Overpriced food and drinks, poor service. Not worth the money.
Food was mediocre and overpriced. Service was poor (waited 25 mins for our bill after saying we were ready, and the waiter was standing around looking at us most of this time). Won't be going back!
Excellent Customer Service Awesome Location and Great Selection... Excellent Food and Great Prices!!!
Very lax seating, welcoming staff, food was great My grandson and I have been exploring pancake breakfast places and Harbourfront is clear winner!
Firstly, the resto is nicely designed and very elegant, with various different sitting areas based on your needs. Also, the service overall is very good, from the lady that took us to our reserved table, to the manager who stopped by to check on us... And we particularly liked our server, who was a young man, very polite, professional and knowledgeable about the menu. A big shout out to him... The food was good, not perfect, but we look forward to visiting again with pleasure. Thanks to the team...
Tired from a day of traveling. I ate at the marriots restaurant, harbourstone. I was incredibly happy with my decision. Blown away my how perfect the meal was. Tried the smoked sturgeon arancini and bacon jam burger with chowder. Everything is perfect. Thanks to the server who was a beauty, and we chatted about football for a while. Would highly recommend this place

Booked a table to have dinner here prior to the Home for the Holidays event. Reservation was for 5:30. Got in and ordered a drink and some food right away. Which was a good call. The restaurant was not especially busy but busy enough to have more than 2 servers.
We ran into the same issue last year, very slow service as they only staffed so few servers.
We all had reservations so they knew exactly how busy they were going to be.
Once the food has been ordered. It took 1.5 hours to arrive.
It wasn’t complicated food, it was the soup of the day.
The table beside us ordered burgers, and my friend ordered a salad.
When asked about the wait for the food, the bartender just said it’s going to take an hour at least.
No reason why, the restaurant was not that busy and there were at least 2 people cooking in the kitchen.
The hotel that night was also hosting a dinner theatre.
My recommendation is you are hosting an event, get event staff. Don’t just have the cooks do both the dinner rush and the dinner theatre event.
Or… be honest with the people who took time to book reservations. Hey we are doing a dinner theatre too so the food will be slow…. That way it gives the people dinning a chance to decide if they want to go somewhere else to get food.
The slow food was a huge problem.
The food was cold when it go to us, the soup practically not edible.
The service was lack lustre at best.
And the bill was way too high for the food that we did get served.
The bill was also not accurate and it took another 5 minutes to fix it.
2 drinks, a soup and a salad - 2 hrs +
Great service, great food, excellent portion sizes.
I cannot say enough good things about Harbourstone! From the moment we walked in, we felt so welcome, and our server, Ingrid, made the experience truly unforgettable. She was attentive, friendly, and had excellent recommendations for both food and drinks. Her warm personality and impeccable timing made our meals seamless and completely enjoyable.
The food was absolutely fantastic – everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We started with the seafood chowder, which was rich and creamy, followed by an amazingly delicious seafood pasta dish. The desserts were a highlight too – the pumpkin tart was over-the-top amazing!
Anytime we visit Halifax, we'll be back and will ask for Ingrid again! Highly recommended!
If you want a fast and easy lunch, this is the right place to get it.
We came here on remembrance Day so practically no one was around. The restaurants located inside a hotel so it took a hot minute to find, but once we did we were immediately seated. The orders came quick, we got a lobster roll and truffle fries, I personally liked the fries better than the roll. There’s nothing inherently special about this place. Its just a quick dine and dash, so if that’s what you’re looking for, here you go.
