We came for a cocktail on Friday night. The cocktails were not bad. The selection of homemade syrups and ingredients is very impressive but the taste of the 2 cocktails we had weren't that balanced/ complex compared to other cocktails we have had in the city. I tried to make a joke and some light chatter to the bartender as we were sat right in front of him at the bar and it wasn't received at all. I understand they were busy but apparently this is one of the best cocktail...
Don't know if it's the perfect spot for a traditional dinner date; but if you like ordering a bunch of small dishes off the menu and trying a few drinks this is the spot, the pork belly pinxtos are amazingg! Intimate and lowkey atmosphere which I really enjoyed and really great service. My favourite bar in the city and I continue to go back!
Highwayman is nestled in the downtown area of Halifax and is walking distance from many top spots. The atmosphere is very cool and cozy, and their happy hour was amazing! We split the bread, snack platter, and charred broccoli and everything was delicious and creatively seasoned and presented. Plus - the sangria, Tom Collins, and mojito were delicious!
