A wonderful sandwich! I come here every week and it’s always a treat.
I wish I had taken a picture of this so-called Vietnamese iced coffee before I returned it, looked like dark mud water. I also wish I had checked the reviews before stopping by this place near my hotel. The moment the lady handed me the drink, I could tell it wasn’t a Vietnamese iced coffee. I even asked if she put condensed milk in it; she insisted she made it correctly. I asked if it was sweet, and she said yes. If it matters, she was definitely not Vietnamese.
Back at the hotel, I took a sip and it was literally just black iced coffee so I called the store, and she said she’d make me a new one… but why not listen the first time? She then hung up on me, which was incredibly rude. Begrudgingly, I went back and she had already prepared another drink saying that I should’ve asked for extra sweet? But based on the attitude and the whole interaction, I didn’t trust it and threw it out in the end.
Experience so awful I felt compelled to share.

I was a student at Dal, needing reasonably priced high quality grub. Indochine Banh-mi’s are outrageous, my favourite sando in Halifax. From the pickled veg, fresh herbs, to properly seasoned/prepared fillings it’s the best. Just returned after a couple years and it’s just how I remembered. Would highly recommend.

This is an update for impolite response from owner!!
So I ordered two banh mi from this place.
For the price, the amount of meat was very little, while there was way too much carrot and taste very old both ingredients and the sandwich itself. And it’s supposed to be Vietnamese banh mi, but it didn’t taste Vietnamese at all.
Each sandwich only had one tiny cilantro leaf — not even a full sprig, just a single leaf.
I felt very disappointed, so I rated it one star. Isn’t that the point of reviews — to share honest experiences?
Why does giving a one-star rating automatically mean it’s a “fake review”? That doesn’t make sense.
1 star for product, 0 star for customer service while you are being very mean to customer.

Multiple tasty options that are vegan friendly. But you will have to ask for vegan mayo.
Tasty and flavourful, warm inside the restaurant but nice patio seating outside.

You can several different Bahn Mi made vegan, curry, spring roll, spring roll bowl, and bubble tea. Everything I've had there is really good! Make sure to specify vegan mayo.
Small place mostly geared towards takeout, but lots of vegan options and very tasty food - outdoor seating always a plus too
Best food in the city hands down.

Very hot inside while waiting for the order. No air conditioning. But the most disappointing is the food. Ordered some Vietnamese food that doesn't taste authentic Vietnamese food at all.
