For a satisfying takeout meal in Halifax, The Iron Rooster is a great option. The whole fried chicken had a delicious taste and made for a good meal. While the onion rings were a decent accompaniment, the real star of the show was the poutine! Every component of the poutine was fantastic, and the cheese curds were particularly delicious. The delivery through Uber Eats was also prompt and efficient, making the whole experience smooth and convenient. If you're looking for a comforting takeout, especially if you appreciate excellent poutine, The Iron Rooster is definitely worth a try.

My all time favourite chicken ever and I don’t even usually like wings! The wings are always freshly made to order. I could eat hundreds every day if I won the lottery. Iron rooster. The chicken burger is absolutely disgusting to the point of being inedible. Tough & rubbery piece of meat. The worst I have ever eaten. The pop, bun & fries were ok. $20.00 valuable dollars wasted. Very nice family running the place but they have to make changes to the chicken burger. Maybe ground chicken burger or small chunks of chicken with some type of sauce. Anything would be better than what they have now for a chicken burger.
