Great place for a casual lunch. Food and coffee are done well and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Nice little Italian ‘grocery’ section too!

I had a sandwich and a saffron risotto ball. The food was really good! The staff seemed really busy but they were kind and polite when taking my order and even gave me a couple of suggestions. Great all around.

I love the pizza, the dough is excellent. I rarely have a good pizza outside of Italy!It’s always a pleasure to have lunch there, relaxed atmosphere, very helpful and gentle staff. I always ask what they like the most and their recommendations satisfy my palate every time. Bravissimi ??????Btw, the shop should sell the Panna per cucinare Chef!

Went in today for a sandwich. I will say the quality of the food is good- my issue is with the service.First, when you go to order, you are standing waiting for someone to greet you or come to the cash. When they do, no hi or smiles or pleasantries, nothing, when you finally place your order you stand around waiting 10-15 minutes for them to make your sandwich. Two people behind me got served their food before I did. While I was still waiting for my food an Uber delivery showed up, one gentleman told another he forgot to put in the Uber order so they hurried to make that before making mine. Then the individual slicing the meat at the deli came over to make my sandwich (as I was the last one left and everyone else got served).Again no acknowledgement, while he was making my sandwich I had asked for no tomato, he put tomato on the sandwich, I had to step in and remind him of my request he just removed them and threw them in the garbage, no apology, no offer to remake the sandwich, nothing (not that I would have asked for a new sandwich but the offer would have been nice). Just poor service all around. When he passed me the sandwich no napkin was provided, no thank you, no have a good day, nothing.Also, it was not busy when I was there otherwise I would give a lot more grace.

Stopped by for a bite to eat around 4:30 pm pm a Friday. Not busy, but server was VERY slow and uninformed. She said she had no idea about their wines. Food came out barely warm after a long wait. Bread cold. Didn't even bother bringing a bill to the table. In the past, my experience was much better than this. This time it was a disappointment. I suspect this is new, untrained staff.

Not great. As an Italian Canadian (from Toronto) I may be a bit of a food snob when it comes to Italian food. When visiting Halifax, decided to give this place a try.The environment was fine, and it was busy so was comfortable giving it a try. That was a bad idea. I had a drowning in vinegar Caprese Insalata with old tomatoes. They did not know how to serve this salad and it was not good. The chicken parm sandwich was very dry and flavourless. They put spinach on it instead of rapini and this did not substitute well. In the end, the pastries looked good so I ordered two cannolis to go. Once again, the cannoli shells were so old and dry and the filling was all lemon.

We came at the last hour and really enjoy the kick back vibe here. Latte was foamy and mocha tasted sugary. If milk and sugar are your thing, you’re in good hands :)

I stopped by to get some Italian Bread. Ended up buying a sandwich as well. I was very happy with my sandwich and my bread. Customer service was amazing! I'll absolutely be back .

Servers were very king and accommodating! I have allergies so eating out can be a burden but they had no problem answering my questions! Food was delicious and authentic! They also have a great marketplace where you can buy premade food to take home. I highly recommend this place the market and restaurant is amazing!
