Went here because it got good reviews and was not disappointed. Great donairs cant complain good price and quality. Simple and great!

Small place. We got takeout.the donairs were good and had a unique flavour ,not overly sweet or spicy. Lots of sauce,onions and tomatoes . We were happy with them and could see why they would be peoples favourites

We ordered a large donair and it was very good. The pita was the same size as a regular so who knows. I would be try it again

Well I was so looking forward to a donair here after watching YouTube videos about "eating in Halifax". The order process and payment was not smooth. The tiny table, although appreciated, as it was raining, was sticky and not great considering how cleaning is supposed to be increased during Covid-19. The Donair is okay but not worthy of high praise. Being from Montreal, we can get far better at KOJAX (mild sauce tastes very similar) If you've never had donair then yes it's very good. I feel like I'm being unfair because my hometown has lots of excellent Greek, Lebanese and Turkish cuisine offerings. But that has made me more discerning. Probably good for a late night eat!

The veggie donair is fantastic with Seitan instead of beef. We actually liked better than the beef one as not a dry. The french fries are also great! New updated interior!

Johnny K's located on pizza corner was the perfect spot for us to take our "out of town" guests for the official food of Halifax as we had a vegan in the group. I had heard they had a vegetarian donair available and we were very pleased at how accommodating they were to make that vegan. The traditional donairs had tons of meat and no one walked away disappointed.

Ordered there tonight only asked for a large donair with the works n payed for an extra cup of sauce on the side . To get back to a donair with no sauce n no sauce on the side. Gave this place a shot a few months ago n i still got the same service

Always putting out their best work, making the customer feel special with each meal. Each time i go, i get the best donair sauce (in Halifax), in addition to the most consistent (hearty large) portions in town! The fries are always fresh, salted, and seasoned before every order. Also they're generous on the napkins, when requested :) I got the chance to chat during a quiet time and they're awesome peeps running the joint too.

Conveniently, Johnny K's Authentic Donair was just a short walk away from our first stop at Smoke's Poutinerie, so we decided to also try our first donair. The thin, Lebanese-style pita is topped with tomatoes and raw onions. The donair sauce is a sweet blend of evaporated milk, vinegar, garlic powder and sugar, and the sandwich is wrapped in tinfoil.
