We had a great meal, I would highly recommend Kanpai Izakaya! Brilliant value for money, flawless service and delicious varied menu. Lovely little place - just need to access it through the mall entrance!

I would not say it’s an authentic Japanese restaurant but the food was good. Liked the rice-grain rice under sashimi (Kampala-don). Tonkatsu teishoku was also great and comes with a sunny side egg. Karaage-don … too much sauce and crispness was missing. Also, mayo could be served on the side rather than comes in it as the few or of it is too strong.its great that they are one of the few restaurants that stays open late. Many Halifax restaurants close at 8pm.

Tasty! Delicious!
Interesting mixing of different ingridients, tastes.
Just 2 deserts - cheesecake and ice-cream, but a huge amount of delicious food, meals and appetizers.
Nice atmosphere!
A good service.
(FYI, It's difficult to park around).
