I recently visited the KFC inside Halifax Shopping Centre and had a very disappointing experience.
Because of my knee problems, I couldn’t stand for a long time, so I placed my order through the mobile app while sitting. Before I ordered, there were already about 5 teams waiting, and another 10 teams lining up to order.
Shockingly, all 10 teams who ordered after me in person received their food and left, while I still had nothing. It took 35–40 minutes before I finally got my order.
When the food came, the chicken itself was at least hot and freshly fried, but the fries and popcorn chicken were already cold and soggy. To make things worse, some of the ketchup packets were already burst open when they gave them to me.
I fully understand that frying chicken takes more than 10 minutes, and I also understand that there was a line. But it is unacceptable that later in-person orders were prioritized over my earlier online order. I don’t expect special treatment for app orders, but at the very least, food should be prepared in the order it was received.
Because of this experience, I don’t think I will ever order from this location again.

I asked for ketchup and the cashiers looked annoyed because I went to the counter in the middle of them talking in their ethnic language, I had to tell them that they only gave me one for my 4pc meal deal order!
Stale fries or chicken that seemed to be sitting or aired out for several hours is nothing new in this location. Meanwhile on a different location, farther from me, I never had that stale or quality issue.
Ever since, I complained about their female staff walking out of washroom without washing hands I haven't ordered in this location since, then.
Their supervisors doesn't do anything about complaints so it is better to complain to the office and they would call back.
