After not being home in NS for 3 years, I went out of my way to hit the OG Quinpool location. For over 30 years, I have been served very good to excellent donairs here. The last visit W weeks ago was a completely different story. I can’t really comment on the taste because there really was none. The sauce was bland, the meat fried to hell and back as to be unrecognizable. I would have thought I had COVID again with the lack of taste, but the other donairs I had the previous and next days made that impossible. Honestly, I’m not even mad, it just breaks my heart is all. Hopefully an off day, but when I told this story to other Halifax people, they just smiled knowingly.

Absolute trash. What has happened to this place ? Used to be decent, it is now one of the worst excuses for a donair in the city. Meat is never fresh off the spit, always from a container that is multiple days old.
Absolutely disgusting, will never order from this garbage dumpster of a restaurant again. Imagine making a garbage donair and calling yourself “King” of donair. Sad

Sadly, this place has given up on serving a decent donair. I paid $2 for cheese —- can you find more than a couple shreds? Asked for onions and tomatoes- none added The worst part, this was a larger ($16 before tax) and it was at best a small from a couple years ago. The meat was dry and quite a bit burnt. Time for a name change for this company. Two times in a row over paying for this garbage. Done
Introduced my American colleague to the Halifax Donair. It did not disappoint. This was lunch time and the guy behind the counter was great!

Has no bathroom available to the public . Has zero gluten free options . Sauce not fresh made from a powder ? The staff opening told us they don’t make their sauce in house it’s a powder they add water too ? Like ?

Donair meat was good but the donair "sauce" was somehow congealed which ruined the donairs. We had to throw them out and made ourselves something else to eat. Very disappointed as we came here from Ontario and were so looking forward to a good donair.
Picked up the regular sized donair with a side of the donair egg rolls and I left full. Highly recommend the order

Yesterday morning, I encountered a bearded staff member who was extremely rude, acting as if he was the ‘King of Quinpool Road.’ The poor customer service I experienced was disappointing and unprofessional. I would not recommend this establishment based on this encounter.

I ordered couple of pizzas for my family, it tasted quite mediocre tbh, but what was worse, the pizza box displayed this very inappropriate image, this is really unacceptable, so I had to tear off the top half of the box since I was sharing the pizza with children.
Their supposedly known for their donairs, yet this donair pizza was quite disappointing tbh.
