Shameful priorities. The owner spent money on renovations and game machines but didnโt install air conditioning. Employees are working in dangerous heat โ this is a serious health risk. I will try to contact the labour court about this. Take care of your staff!๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป

Boyfriend has always wanted to try this place since watching Trailer park boys. While you wait for your food theirs lots of photos of famous people who have visited King or Donair. The place is super hot you sweat while ordering and waiting for your food. We ordered two Donairs no tomato or onion , extra sauce . The lady who took our order repeated it back correctly , however the younger lady helping her piled a crap tun of them on and I seen the other lady waving at her and speaking in their language. The lady who took our order then used tongs to take them off and I still ended up with two pieces of raw onion. You donโt need to ask for extra sauce because they put a lot on. Boyfriend loved the sauce i however found it a bit too sweet and it kind do threw me off . Meat was tasty and they put a lot on.
I have been enjoying King of Donair since I moved to Halifax in 1987. It is a rare treat I give myself so I was surprised when I last ordered and it didn't taste like a donair. It looked like a donair and as I was eating it I kept asking myself what was wrong with it. I'm still not sure what I ate but it was not a donair, the sauce was a thin tasteless white something and the meat, well, I'm just not sure why it didn't taste like donair meat.

Weโre vitiating from out of town food was okay at best, sauce was all at the top that was kinda gross. Service was lacking. Portions were good prices meh but this was bot a place were will have to visit again

We were visiting from Alberta (the other place where donairs are super popular), so we had to try to original. Did not disappoint.
The donair was great. The donair poutine was very good. Wasn't a big fan of the donair egg rolls, but everything else was great.
Is it the best donair I've had? No. But it was damn good!

Is this spot truly the King of Donairs?? Probably not.
Don't get me wrong, this place gets the job done, and I would be glad to enjoy a nice meal here. Although I feel it is not the best out there and I prefer my donair sauce to be slightly less thick. This could just be my preference, though, so definitely try them and find out!
