The service at this restaurant was terrible. Had their all you can eat menu but the orders took so long that we were sitting for 2 hours and left without having eaten much at all. Couldn’t even get them to bring extra wasabi. The staff just seemed annoyed that we were there. I guess the way they save money is to just not bring you anything.

We visited Kiyoto Sushi Halifax around lunchtime but ended up ordering dinner — we were really hungry 😄 I’m a big fan of sushi restaurants, and honestly, I’ve never had such fresh fish and sushi anywhere else in Halifax! The rice was soft and perfectly cooked — not dry or stale — everything tasted like it was made just moments ago. Yes, the space is a bit small, and it feels like they could use one more person serving the dining area. As a European, I also wished for a better wine selection (and maybe a friendlier price for half a glass 😅). But if we’re talking purely about the food quality and taste — it’s a solid five stars! I truly hope this restaurant continues to grow and doesn’t stop improving. And one more important note: cleanliness! I’d love to see tables and tablets wiped thoroughly after each guest. I always wash my hands before eating, and I feel a bit uneasy touching the tablet screen with my fingers. Maybe provide a little stylus with a cover — that would match my “sterile hands” perfectly 😉

Im new to sushi, however this was amazing! The portions were a nice size, making it easier to enjoy more rolls, crab rangoon wontons and tempura shrimp! Will be back!

Delicious. Relatively fast service, fresh items typically served quickly. Lovely atmosphere. 2hr time limit, dinner price seems a little high if you arent ready to eat (I was 😋)

Food was good but portion sizes were small and it takes a while for food to arrive. I don’t think the chinese food section is necessary on the menu. Items like the chicken skewers and deep fried squid are seasoned with a distinctly chinese spice and I don’t mind it but it’s not something I’m expecting at a sushi place.
Food is good but service is horrendous. Had to beg for water, waiter took our order on his phone, wrote everything down by hand on his phone screen and we only ended up with 2 of the 4 items we ordered. Then when going to pay I had to remind them of what i ordered as despite being the man who took our order he didn't know who we were or whether we were trying to place an order or pay for something he didn't know about. When I explained that we only got half of our order, he dug through his notes app, found our order then they had the audacity to try and charge us for all 4 items. This is not the first time service here has been bad but this by far takes the cake. Will never return here as it's clearly not a coincidence but common place for staff to be ignorant when dining in. Ruined our 1 year anniversary dinner.

I came to this sushi restaurant and the place was packed. Service was extremely slow. each order took more than 30 minutes to arrive. On top of that, they kept taking delivery orders even though the dine-in customers were already waiting so long. The food might be fine, but the management of service was really disappointing.
