For sure a hidden gem. I think it's location under an old apartment building makes people overlook it. I thought it was a cafeteria for the longest time!

Anyway, the atmosphere is my favourite in Halifax. A little slice of a Parisian street stereotype. Fun and kind of rare these days.

French onion soup immediately put a smile on my face. Loved dipping the included buttered bread in the soup. Lobster puff pastry with tarragon sauce had a nice flavour and pastry was perfectly light. Beef bourguinon was tender, but the flavour was pretty standard. I would recommend trying another entree if it's your first time here. Overall, looking forward to coming back and trying other menu items!

I had the french onion soup. The broth was deliciousThe cheese was perfectly melted. To my liking, There was not enough caramelized onions in the soup. Just remember it's called french onion soup. Bowl could have been bigger.

My wife's meal of haddock was excellent. Unfortunately, my Coquille St. Jacques was very poor primarily because the scallops were overcooked, discoloured and tough. And the overall dish was not tasty. I was offered a free desert.......not good.

I ❤️ French “people”. This place has decadent joe as well as beautiful wall art. At times provocative. The bathroom was clean and me and my wife had a good time. At this restaurant. 10/10 would recommend

Great food and staff. There's a reason they are usually busy and it's best to make reservations.

Went to Le Bistro by Liz for our first trip in Nova Scotia for our Honeymoon and we were amazed with the exceptional service and outstanding selection of food. The French Onion Soup was by far the best I've had in Canada, hands down! We also tried the Garlic Shrimp, which we devoured, and they were grilled to perfection! The server was kind enough to bring us a complimentary piece of pie for dessert to help us celebrate our honeymoon in Nova Scotia. I can't wait to return in the future for our anniversary!

Le Bistro by Liz never disappoints. The menu offers a wide choice of dishes presented with care, mouth-watering, and at very reasonable prices. The servers are always attentive and friendly. Even when the restaurant is full, it's never noisy. Definitely #1 in Halifax!

Peggys cove is a must-see. Lots of little stores in the one area. Selling locally made jewelry, handmade items from local sellers. Definitely up there with the best coves I have seen.
