We went downtown on Dec6 to Public Gardens. And happened to fall into this place. Just to let you know it was my wife's birthday, and we had no reservations ( I highly suggest RSVP) . This was like winning the lottery, we sat at the bar( no complaints). They started with warm bread and drinks. Our party had the French onion soup(highly recommend). The Birthday girl had Crepe Marocaine, she absolutely loved it and the curry was mild to her so an absolute plus,others shared the Croque Monsieur, they loved it and I had the Burger( i know not very French) but boy was it good. I like to Thank all for making this a wonderful birthday for my wife. The only sad thing is my birthday is I August.

We went to LE bistro by Liz for lunch today! My sister in law came up from cape Breton and I wanted to bring her there!! We arrived at 12 with no reservation! (I should have called and did that !)When we went into the restaurant the hostess met us and said do you have reservations! We did not! Well he said I have one for 1:30. We decided to leave!! Well we were walking out down the road and he ran out of the restaurant to get us, to tell us someone just called and cancelled!! So happy!! He showed us to our table and we did get the special haddock burger and fries!! So delicious! And the expresso martini!! It was a great experience all the way around!!

Best Eggs Benedict I’ve had in Halifax. So yummy! The only downside is that I felt extremely rushed and the host seemed very annoyed when I walked in (by myself) without a reservation.

Had the pleasure to meet a friend at this Bistro last night as I am out of town. Everything was superbe starting with the warm greeting from Liz at the host podium, followed by excellent waiting service from Joy who was enthusiastic, knowledge and attentive. The escargot is a must, the seafood crepe was amazing, filet mignon dish was perfectly cooked with delicious reduction, the Caesar salad is as good as mine (that's a compliment!!) And if your waitress suggest to have a fork and knife for the warm chocolate chip cookie for desert, take her advice... Cant wait to come back to Halifax to come by again to try the rest of the menu! Liz and team, keep up the great work!!

Chill vibes and great food. Ordered a salade and an onion soup. Quite enough for just one. The dressing for the salad was amazing! (Kind of roasted bacon dressing…) And most importantly, I have never seen so many cheese in an onion soup!!

Really nice spot. It was a bit slow on Thanksgiving Monday, so nice and quiet. The Thanksgiving special was excellent. The squash soup gets high marks. As does the Coquille St Jacques. Service was great. Thanks Joy.

The atmosphere was very welcoming with a nice French twist. Excellent service and exciting cocktails paired with a nice selection of apps make this the place to go in Halifax. The beef bourginon was very tender and covered with delicious garlic and onion sauce. We also tried haddock and it was lemony delicious. Highly recommended.
