It's nice what that they did after the renovations. The servers who been working there for a very long time are awesome, efficient, friendly, nice, with a smile. I been to their wing nights, karaoke, jazz evening, and I tried their weekend brunch menu. I like their cheesecakes. I heard their patio is beautiful but I never been up there.

The low stars are for the double standard treatment. There was a time when the coloured manager allowed a group of ten India nationals (who seemed to know their South Asian employees) to order after the kitchen closed while in the past they have no problem turning down a group of 2-4 Canadians from ordering food 20 min before the kitchen closed. There was a time they turned me down 15 min and another time 30 min before the kitchen closed.
They tried to blame their newbie host at that time but I'm not born, yesterday. That is unfair treatment.

Mostly just had apps with a group. Good service, food, and drinks.

I’ve been going to the Lions Head once or twice a month for years with a group but the last few times i have been I have a sense that something has changed in the kitchen - I don’t know if it’s new ownership, new chef, kitchen staff or scaling back on kitchen staff but the food went from very good and very reliable to absolutely terrible - had a godawful shawarma bowl a few weeks back - barely edible - then had nachos that cost 25 dollars and weren’t fit for a dog. It’s a shame - I hoped that the first bad experience was just a hiccup but this last time was impetus to not return for food going forward. It’s a shame because we love the servers, atmosphere, hosts, jazz night and everything else about the place.

Loud in evenings but great place to gather with friends.

Went here yesterday with friends, we ordered nachos for the table they were decent, ordered a spicy burger, a lions head burger, a fish and chips and a pork mac n cheese.
These were about the worst burgers I've had in Halifax, they were overcooked to the point that they were hard and to top it off cold in the center, even the buns weren't toasted. The fish was also overcooked to being hard but surprisingly the batter wasn't cooked through. Maybe the meat was pulled out the freezer and cooked but was very badly done. The mac n cheese was ok.

Will not be going back again.

Enjoyed the salmon dinner with rice and veggies. Good service. Will have to go back for the wings.

Lovely place, we didn't have to wait to be seated, large dining room, comfortable atmosphere. Our waitress and hostess were great. Would recommend 😊

I went for the wing night. I was a little suspicious with what a wing night offering can be. The wings ended up being the best and curiously prepared. A mix of bartered and fried, but mostly clean and very good and minimally breaded. Delicious, generous and as always the interior is a clean and beautiful space. The go-to for wing night in Halifax.

Very nice inside. But very expensive, $13 for a beer before tip. Burger week burger and fries for $23 was small .

Wow. Disappointed. Calamari 18$ plastic Dixie cup with jar cocktail sauce. Thought perhaps it was deep fried rubber bands. No effort to even make it look good…the burger week burger 23$ was over cooked dense tough and flavorless. The fries were clearly old and refried several times. So sad and such a waste of money. Live and learn. Lions Head use to be great. What the hell happened?

LOVE!!! Big fan of jazz night as they offer variety but consistent in quality. They have rolling rock on tap which is one of my favourites. Close to my work, convenient hours that accommodate service workers too. Looking forward to trying a karaoke night!

I have been having supper at Lion's Head prior to go see our Thunderbirds, I have season tickets, so I go there quite often. Unfortunately, the last few times, the food has not been up to standard. This past Saturday was my worst experience and decided, we will not go there anymore. I had a chicken burger and my girlfriend had pesto pasta.

The bottom of my bun of my chicken burger was solid as a rock and everything was cold inside the burger. My fries were overcooked. I mentioned it to the waitress about my meal and she said I should have said something and would have replaced my meal. Then I thought that maybe I get a discount, but no, nothing.

My girlfriend pesto pasta was really soupy. Unfortunately, later on, she got sick a few times.

To pay 65$ for a meal that was not good at all is hard to accept, especially now that everything is so expensive.

This is a great spot for your typical large bacon and eggs breakfast. Of course, there is more to the meal, and it is worth it.
Nicely cooked and served in a very reasonable time.

Just stopped in to say hi to an old friend but this was my old haunt and the place is always clean and great food.
